There have been a lot of posts lately indicating fear, or, er, aggression towards the, er, giant robots that have suddenly appeared in The City. I, um, just wanted to clarify some, ah, concerns and inform the people of the city, specifically the users of this network, what you should know about us, er Cybertronians.
First of all, there is a group of piloted fighter mechs that are NOT Cybertronian. I would recommend asking their pilots about them.
Secondly, none of us are what some people refer to as "Sentinels." From what I understand, these machines are non-sentient robots designed to hunt down and kill mutants. That is not, and never has been, the function of any Cybertronian, although there may be some who have no qualms about harming humans.
Thirdly, those of us bearing this symbol (and here Optimus points to the red face on his shoulder) are known as Autobots. Autobots are programmed to protect life, and have upheld this function while in the city, even as humans ourselves. My team is under command to continue doing so, and to stop the other faction of our kind, The Decepticons. [ there's a brief flicker, and the video switches to this before going back to Optimus.]
As their leader, Starscream, has already damaged several jets, our current goal is to bring him down, at whatever cost. I personally appreciate all help that has been offered so far.
I hope this has answered some questions about the sudden appearance of giant robots, and I ask you to please remain calm. We Autobots mean you no harm, and we're doing everything in our power to prevent the 'Cons from harming anyone.
