dragony: (this one is my fight)

NOW WE CAN THROW OUR RIDICULOUS CANONS AT ONE ANOTHER AND GO BWUH

[personal profile] dragony 2009-05-22 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
I don't recognize that name, either. But if you come from Yuugi's world, then maybe...

Did it collect souls through dueling?
hackeralastair: (lurking)

OMG this is going to be epic

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Well...yeah, it did, actually. The Seal of Oricalcos trapped souls that lost a duel. Oh good, someone else who knows dueling...
dragony: (stuck in an icicle)

wait until we start getting into riding duels!

[personal profile] dragony 2009-05-22 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
It only took the one soul of the losing duelist, then? I guess it's not as destructive as the ones I know...

But ... defeating it brought those people back?
hackeralastair: (smirk)

he'll LOVE that

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Of course, because if the winner lost his soul too, he can't go and take more souls. Mast...uh, Dartz groomed us to be winners and collect as many souls as we could, kinda hard to do that when your own is trapped.

Yeah. Yeah, it reversed everything.
dragony: (did you just break *everything*?)

and she's going to have to explain SYNCHRO SUMMONS ohgod

[personal profile] dragony 2009-05-22 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. It seems like it would take a very long time. The Dark Signers are a little similar to that, but when they duel, a burning geoglyph appears, and anyone trapped inside except for those two duelists are sacrificed to summon the Earthbound God. The loser of the match... dies.

But if defeating that one released the captured souls for you, then maybe the same is true for us.
Edited 2009-05-22 02:31 (UTC)
hackeralastair: (shock)

one step at a time lol

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
What? Dies? That's...wow. That's insane. I mean, sure, if something happens to your body while your soul isn't in it, you die, but...

...god, I hope I never actually killed anyone...

What kind of a god is this? Could be the same...the Leviathan was pretty powerful, it even smacked down the Egyptian gods.
dragony: (no. really. it's fine.)

[personal profile] dragony 2009-05-22 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. The way he explained it, the Dark Signers were already dead when they were chosen by the Earthbound Gods, so even if we defeat them, there's no way for those people to come back. I saw one of those duels, and except for the duelists, and ... and the people around me, everyone else turned into a ball of light and vanished. A hundred people went missing in Neo-Domino, and no one knows what happened to everyone in Satellite.

Umm... thousands of years ago, there was a battle between the Crimson Dragon and the Earthbound Gods, and those Gods were sealed in the Nazca plains.

What was its card lore and stats, do you know? If it had a card, I mean...
hackeralastair: (Default)

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Wow. Man, I don't even know what to say to that. I did some pretty bad things in my time but...not like that. So...uh, if I remember my lessons right, that would be Inca legends. I suppose I'm not really surprised by that.

The Leviathan? No...it was real. It didn't have a card. The Seal was, so it could be played. That's all.

So wait, Neo Domino...you're from the same time as Kyosuke?
dragony: (★)

[personal profile] dragony 2009-05-22 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
Just because it has a card doesn't mean it isn't real.

And Kyosuke Kiryu is one of those Dark Signers. He's one of our destined enemies, even though he used to be friends with the others.
hackeralastair: (lurking)

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well, no...I meant. Uh. Bad choice of words. The Leviathan was raised once we had enough powerful souls for it. That...included mine.

He is? He didn't seem like it to me, when we were talking. Just a normal guy with the same taste in motorcycles as me. Are you sure?
dragony: (this is my serious face)

[personal profile] dragony 2009-05-22 03:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I think I understand now.

Yeah, I'm sure. Being imPorted to this place brought him back to life properly, but as soon as he returns home, I think he'll go back to being one of them. So long as he caries that birthmark...

He claims he only wants revenge on Yuusei, but he doesn't feel any regret for all those people he sacrificed in Satellite. Even if he is "alive" here, he's still the man who would willingly open the doors to the underworld and kill everyone, just for revenge against one person.

... But I'm guessing he must have told you about Riding Duels, right?
hackeralastair: (angst)

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Hm. Sounds like he and I have more in common than you'd think.

...no, he didn't. We just talked bikes for a bit, didn't get that far.
dragony: (yet even more serious business)

[personal profile] dragony 2009-05-22 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
You would kill innocent people without remorse?
hackeralastair: (proud)

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't say that. But I didn't exactly tell you why our master was feeding souls to the Leviathan either. I can't pretend to be all high and mighty.
dragony: (final battle)

[personal profile] dragony 2009-05-22 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Alright. I only ask because that's the thing about him I can't tolerate.

How was the Leviathan defeated?
hackeralastair: (lurking)

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Got me, I wasn't around for it - it had my soul at that point. All I know is Yuugi did it, with a little help. When I woke up, I just got the hell out of there, I didn't want to wait around to see if someone was going to arrest me or something.

[obviously NOT HAPPY about this entire situation]

Yes, I'm a Dark Signer. No, I'm not going to kill anyone.

Probably not even the Signer I'm supposed to...

[private: v: J]

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Look, man, I have no right to judge or say anything. If what this other pal of Yuugi's is telling me is all true? I've been there.
satisfiedsigner: (Normal: surprised)

[private: v: J]

[personal profile] satisfiedsigner 2009-05-22 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
[there is a definite pause while he's staring at his comm in shock]

You don't...

...That's Ruka. She's a Signer, and she has a bit of a grudge against me.

...I was reading that...

[sigh]

Anything she's said about me is true, though a little biased.
hackeralastair: (smirk)

[private: v: J]

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
...oh really? She left that part out. Heh! Good to know.

I don't know if I should be annoyed or flattered that you're poking into my conversations. But hey, I'm learning a lot today. So what if it's true? I'm no saint. I stole souls.
satisfiedsigner: (ooc: Don't leave me here alone...)

[private: v: J] leeeet's reply to the right comment this time...

[personal profile] satisfiedsigner 2009-05-22 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
She does that.

[another pause]

I tend to start paying attention when I see or hear her

She likes to tell people this stuff about me, so...

I didn't want to lose another friend because of something I haven't even done here. And can't do here.

hackeralastair: (hmf)

[private: v: J] I saw nothing.

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
*deep sigh* Yeah, hey. Don't worry about it, Kyosuke. Like I said - I have no right to judge. I was part of a plan to destroy every living human on the planet simply for being human. So if you're so bad, then so am I, even if I've had a couple years to rethink things.
satisfiedsigner: (Normal: lost)

[private: v: J]

[personal profile] satisfiedsigner 2009-05-22 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
...Yeah, that sounds pretty familiar.

I just...wish I'd been the one to bring it up. But this isn't really stuff you need to bring up the first time you talk to someone.

...Thanks...

[sounding a little more joking now]

Also, I totally told you about the Riding Duels. That what got us on the motorbike topic.
hackeralastair: (smirk)

[private: v: J]

[personal profile] hackeralastair 2009-05-22 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
No, it really isn't. And here I was just trying to catch up with Yuugi - all of a sudden it's twenty questions and I'm spilling half my life story.

*smirking* Yeah, but you didn't go into a big long explanation about them. I'm still curious, but this isn't the time and place.
satisfiedsigner: (Normal: Of course I'm the best.)

[private: v: J]

[personal profile] satisfiedsigner 2009-05-22 05:24 am (UTC)(link)
[laughs] No sense of tact at all.

If you weren't curious, I'd be disappointed. Though you're right, it isn't really.
