1 [voice post]

[British accent. Sounds youngish and a little bit high and mighty.]

I don't want to be a superhero. What is more: I'm not going to be a superhero. I am perfectly content to work to help reestablish safety in the City, but I won't fight. That is hardly going to help anyone, not in the long term. He cannot expect me to discard everything that I've believed in all my life after he kidnaps me from—

I am not a soldier, and I am not fighting in any man's war, even if it is against crime.

Okay, cool. That's a start. Where are you from, new guy? And do you have powers back home?

[voice forever]

The accent kind of tipped me off, but I wanted to check. If you don't have mutants running around at least, it's not the England I know, though.

Well, first tip I can give you is to watch out and see if you start being able to do... strange things. Most people who end up being pulled in here seem to get new abilities even when they didn't start out with them.

What were you back home? If you, um, don't mind me asking.

British army? I thought you said you weren't a soldier. Or was that more of a philosophical point?

As for me. Well, I was basically what I am here. People call me Wiccan. I'm one seventh of a superhero team called the Young Avengers. We fight crime, help people in distress. That kind of thing.

Oh. I get you. And I get why you might not be big on fighting here.

There's lots of other stuff to do. Clinics, soup kitchens for the homeless, other stuff like that. I bet the courts are pretty understaffed too. I'll bet you can find something to do no problem that doesn't involve any fighting.

And, yeah, definitely. It's nice to meet you too.

Oh, yeah. In a city this big? We've got a couple. There's been a lot of talk about trying to get one started up specifically for heroes, but I don't think that's gone anywhere yet.

Here, I'll send you the addresses of all the hospitals I know. Like you said, with all the crime around here, I'm sure they could you a hand.

It's definitely hard to just sit Some of the stuff you'll probably see over this thing-- [He cuts off, pauses as he reorganizes his thoughts.]

There are some sick people in this city, and I mean sick like psychotic. If you've got experience working in a hospital, they're going to snap you up in a second.

For the file, uh, sorry. I guess should have asked if you were used to these kind of things first. You see that little arrow thing on your screen? Move it over the text and click twice. It should open up.
