[Klarion is sitting on the curb, scowling. Teekl is playing with a frog, barely on-screen.]

I've been trying for the past few days to desperately figure something out: how does one devour a soul? I've tried magical spells to remove the souls from small animals, but the animals keep dying in the process, before I've fully extracted what I believe is the soul. I can extract the hearts easily! I've amassed a small collection of hearts, as a matter of fact, all of which are easily devourable, but not that tasty. But no souls yet.

Apparently, some people think that I am not a proper witch-boy if I cannot devour souls. [cough Kyouko cough. There's a pause, and then he grudgingly admits:] So, if there is anyone here who is an actual witch and not simply a witch-boy, please inform me how to do it.

[Klarion pouts slightly as Teekl rips the legs off the frog as cats are wont to do. This is a happy post.]

You've been lied to, witches don't eat souls. Flesh sometimes, but not souls.

No. You can't eat a soul. It's not a physical thing.

Kind of like magic?

Exactly. You wouldn't be able to eat magic, right? Just the things magic makes, not the spell itself.

But, can you extract a soul? You can extract air from things, and air is not physical.

Just getting it out? Maybe. If you knew the right spell.

I'd say ask one of the older magic users, but there aren't many of them still around.

And I know Zatanna won't tell me anything.

You could try to find some texts.

Quentin showed me the internet. I could use that to find texts, correct?

Maybe? I don't use computers much, so I'm not sure.
