[The video turns on to show a man who is dressed in an expensive and impeccably fine suit and tie as he sits in the back of a moving taxi, smoking a cigarette in a lethargic manner before he turns to the device that is obviously being held in one hand.]
Curious.
[The device flips to show the back of the driver's head, and then is turned back toward the man holding it.]
And rather infuriating.
[He blows smoke out of the car window.]
I'm on my way back to the City, having discovered I no longer hold property in New Jersey, or anywhere for that matter.
[He smiles grimly, taking a long drag and exhaling through his nose.]
Lacking the proper contacts, as all attempts to phone have failed, I guess I'll have to make due with this novel method. I am, or was, an accomplished financier, with extensive experience in world affairs. Should anyone know of, or have a need for such a skill set, do contact me. The number for this device is [number], my name is Lamont Cranston.

Quaint place, the City.

Indeed, the initial impression isn't awe-inspiring. However, one manages to seep into the flow of things. Where are you from?
voice
I'm from New York City.

Meanwhile, the Smoke-Free Air Act (Title 17, Chapter 5 as of March 30, 2003), prohibits smoking in public transportation facilities, including taxicabs, for-hire vehicles (including black cars and limousines), commuter vans and paratransit vehicles licensed by the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission. Passengers who smoke in such vehicles are in violation of the law and may be subject to a civil penalty of $100 for each violation.
Taxicab rider bill of rights entitles passengers to smoke and scent free air, buddy!

2003. Rather an established law by this point in time, from what I've gathered. You'll forgive me, I hope, as the year in which I come from, was 1937.
[He smothers the cigarette, and then pitches it out the window.]
Your approach to the situation, could have been more polite, however.
