[ He sounds a little harried, but speaks slowly and calmly. ]
Those of you that have passed by Avengers Tower tonight may have noticed the large crater in the street below the East side.
... While the exact cause of that phenomena is still unknown; but I suspect it has something directly to do with the attempted burglary on the Tower tonight. I was lucky enough to be in the building when it happened, having left something in my office, and thus I was able to prevent the theft of anything valuable. The thief was attempting to steal or sabotage my armor, without which I am obviously not able to aid the City in the same capacity, as director of the Avengers. I can't imagine why anyone would want to attempt such harmful vandalism at the citizen's expense, but I won't try and pretend I understand a thief's motives.
When I interrupted them in the act, they ran out of my laboratory and escaped out from one of the windows. I didn't see where they got to, and I suppose there's a possibility they were harmed in the presumed fall. I would suggest keeping an eye out just in case this person has skulked off somewhere with grievous injuries. I'm willing to be flexible in negotiating charges.
Thank you.
(OOC: he might not respond to everyone.)
