(There is screaming, laughter that is cut off by choking, and the wet sounds of flesh colliding with flesh. It gets quiet--the only sounds are far-off shrieks, close-by sobs, and River breathing heavily. More laughter sounds in the distance, getting closer. Then the message cuts out.)

(ooc: River is busily protecting a little boy she happened to be passing on the street when the Joker's thugs came swarming over everything. If anyone wants to panic that she's 'in danger' and run along and find her actually kicking some ass for the first time, comment away. Open log is there.)
