Hahahaha! Well now, that was a lot of fun! It’s been far too long since this City really had to fight tooth-and-nail against a large opponent. I always love to see the heroes of this place spring into action when a suitable foe presents itself.

Tell me something, now. This City was attacked by many thousands of a trained and organized enemy. A very silly enemy to be sure, but an enemy that was fought in the streets and on the bridges for three days of chaos! Would this conflict then, be considered a war? Do you all now qualify as seasoned veterans? Perhaps you have all earned a campaign decoration for your valiant efforts!

How do you all define what qualifies as a ‘war’ anyway? Or- here’s the thing that really interests me!- how many of you remarkable people would say that you have experienced war? So many people from so many different worlds with so many conflicts! I would absolutely love to hear your stories.

Really! What a surprising response. You sound as though you admired this person who created such suffering, who brought forward the things that you never want to see again. How interesting. Was he a 'worthy enemy', then?

His intentions. Not his actions.

Actions are taken because of intentions, to achieve the intended goal. The extremity and enormity of an act becomes a measure of an intention's strength, and of the will behind the intention.

I wonder... how might you feel about me, if there were different intentions behind my actions?

That's a pointless question. There aren't.

There are some people who concern themselves only with means and not ends. They say that actions are inherently good or bad, and are not interested in intention and outcome. They say 'this is good!' or 'this is unforgivable!' because that is the code they live by. Others are more practical, and weigh different actions by different intentions. One may sympathize more with he who kills for family, another with he who kills for country.

It interests me to see where you fall. The way people judge actions and intentions, right and wrong, shows a lot about what they fight for.
