I Don't know the full reasoning behind it, I only know the effect. And that effect is that I've given into the buffet that is the hemospectrum on more than one occasion, shine like the very sun in dark places, and am some quality of undead.

I was never terribly invested in my place on the hemospectrum, no matter the significance others put into it. I suppose the only major part of it was that it inspired my lusus to choose me, and that's an event which is unlikely to repeat itself. So, whether or not I retained that aspect isn't too important.
