But you don't have the knowledge of when you will go back. You could be sent home in three minutes or thirty years. You can't run from it, and what would knowing how it happens change anything?

Not exactly, I didn't see it like that. I pushed everyone I knew away for over a year, and had to start over. I couldn't deal with people, but that doesn't mean I didn't want or need the validation.
