[There's a pause, then Jade shifts the camera so that those furry ears are in full view.]

But you...I was never provided with a more current password in order to facilitate the linear passage of information! At best you can rest assured I won't be complicating matters with my past selves here. Even if I were capable of such a thing, which way be entirely possible should I elect to utilize a go-between, I've never had any terrible strong inclination to do so!

Well, the implications carried in the results of these circumstances are to no small degree worrying! I don't understand why you feel the need to be so difficult with these matters so often.

The isolated nature of this timeline controls the flow of information to a point where there is no potential for passage between worlds with it. You recall as well as I do from our previous return, we only retain what we knew upon arrival, and anything afterwards is only remembered after re-entering the City.

There is no possible effect your sharing of information can have in our native timelines, it will remain here in much the same way water remains outside of nautical vessels.

From the beginning, perhaps! Where last we left off. Or you might simply begin with what you feel would be the most important point which occurred before the other important points, and elaborate from that one.

Um, well... I was waiting for the Scratch, and I saw something floating down from the sky. I couldn't figure out what it was, but when it got close enough I realized it was shaving cream! And then all of a sudden it blew up. I guess it was some sort of weird shaving cream bomb? Anyway, the next thing I knew, I was on Skaia, and Davesprite was next to me, and there was a meteor coming towards us. So I just sort of... Shrunk it without really thinking about it.

There was a bomb? Were you... [ well, she is god tier now, right? kanaya doesn't know a lot about that, but one thing she has figured out is that it means you died at some point ]

Jade, are you telling me that you were caught in the explosion?

[Jade is just nodding. She seems incredibly unphased by this!]

[ she linefaces, trying to stay calm, but if her saucer eyes and bright glow are any indication, it isn't really working ]

And yet I somehow find myself dissatisfied with the evidence of this. Even with a similarly divine status, Vriska very definitely died, I saw her body personally. And yet, even she still remains alive here in the City.

How can I be certain that matters will remain so on our native timeline?
