Okay, so the City is pretty much part of a pretty regular version of Earth, and I have seen Christmas decorations all over the place so it's pretty safe to assume that it has normal Earth holidays right? Uhm, wait, unless my Earth is the one with weird holidays.

[ Pausing and scrunching up his face thoughtfully. It's like he JUST NOW thought of that possibility and is suddenly boggling over the idea. ]

Are Christmas, Kwanzaa and Hanukkah still normal holidays here? Because I think those are the normal ones where I am from. Also I have never celebrated the Kwanzaa or Hanukkah, so I don't actually know what's normal for them, but I know it involves candles, but... people still get trees to decorate for Christmas, right?

Well, there are ornaments you can buy, but you can also make your own out of all sorts of things!! Whatever you want, as long as their small and llight enough to hang on the tree. And Christmas lights!

Kind of! I mean, it's a birthday of sorts anyways, just everyone gets more presents.

Well, "family" remains a concept I really only understand in the most academic terms.

Oh right! Things are different for you guys, well... Christmas is about friends as well! And you can kind of think of your really close friends as family too.

Christmas? Uh... I think so! It depends where you are too. Also not everyone is Christian, so not everyone practices it even in one area!

Oh! I guess it kind of depends on who you talk to, but I know I am not the only one who thinks so!

It still seems to be such an odd concept, though I do find holding one's friends dear relatable enough to warrant further consideration.

Maybe it's a human thing, but I definitely think it is worth consideration.

Given the unfamiliar qualities such concepts hold, I would imagine they must be human in nature! The very definition of family is one that would likely be regarded as wholly alien on Alternia.

Well, you guys still have some friends that are closer than other friends though, right? Like some that are really important and you would do anything for?

Some cases of it, yes, even beyond those we may hare a quadrant with. Though some such relationships have grown...strained due to particular circumstances.
