[She thought about making this a voice post -- but nobody needs to see the familiar walls of the clinic to know that she's there, just from how tired she still sounds. From the looks of things, she's willing to be that there's a large portion of the imPort community here, anyway. She hasn't ventured out of bed yet, but she's asked the other nurses who's around.

She lost a lot of blood and she's looking pretty pale, still. Her right cheek is speckled with tiny cuts and her right shoulder and arm are wrapped and slung.]

My thoughts are with anyone who is suffering through this, and every good person out there looking for the missing even if they don't mean anything to you personally.

I hope everything is starting to get under control by now. I guess I'll finally be taking that short vacation from work that people have been saying I need.

But I'm -- fine, really.

[She can't do much reliably without her wand-arm for a few days, at least, even with whatever potions Snape's managed to salvage. Turns out that a short-range, relatively localized explosive spell can be pretty destructive.

The slight frown on her face shifts to something a little more concerned when she speaks again.]

Even if we're crowded here, if you're hurt -- don't hesitate to come by. We'll find a way.

Yes, certainly.

Yeah. I can too. With wands and some without.

[Okay, now she's got all Andromeda's interest.]

Are you receiving any training?

I had a little before I got here.

And now that you're here?

I got here in the middle of this whole alien thing. I didn't think it was a good time to look for anyone.

That was probably the right thing to do.

I've never been a teacher, least of all with basic magic -- but if you like, I can get you in touch with some people.

Are there a lot of people here who can use magic?

A fair amount, I'd say.

Are they nice people? Or are any of them [Her voice drops.] witches?

[And she raises her eyebrow.]

Is there a distinction between being a witch and being able to use magic?

Witches can all use magic, but you can use magic without being evil.

There are plenty of witches and wizards here who can use magic without being evil.

But witches are evil. If you think they're not evil, you're being tricked. It's okay though. You shouldn't feel bad about being tricked. They're really tricky people.

Where I'm from, we call that Dark Magic.

[She's not going to lie, so...]

There are those here who have practiced it, and who still do. I'm not one of them, however.

I don't get it. Witches where you're from use different kinds of magic from everyone else?

Anyone can use any sort of magic if they're magically inclined. It's the intent put behind the magic that can make it do terrible things.

I think you're right about that part. I use a lot of the same spells the witch did, but I don't use them to be bad.

[She nods.]

Are there many people in your world who can use magic?

I dunno. I only know of me, and that witch, and my brother.

Ah, well. Just keep my offer in mind, all right?
