[the video opens up to nill sitting at the table in her and kate’s apartment. for recently being kidnapped, she looks pretty darn happy. there's a man next to her, thin and pale, who doesn't look anywhere near as overjoyed.]

Hello City this is my friend Heine. He is a good person and he is from my world. Please be nice to him because he does not remember being here before.

[heine opens his mouth as if to say something, but apparently thinks better of it, and instead just shrugs when nill looks back at the camera. she pauses, and then adds:]

And thank you to the people who saved us. It was very brave of you.

[she smiles gently, forgiving. and shakes her head. she was in space! what could he have done? there was no need for him to worry about that. besides, she was back now, wasn't she?]

[ shrugs, and manages to smile for about a millisecond. (he wants to apologize again.) ]

What's it like here?

[even as quick as it is, she sees it. and she appreciates it. nill reaches across the table for a pen and some paper. with her left hand, she carefully writes out:]

Really?

[ he hasn't had... the best first impression. but still: small talk. right. ]

What do you do?

[culver]

[he just came at a bad time, really ): usually it's pretty tame! but the question is a good change of subject of her.]

I go to school. I take an art class.

[shooteverything]

Any other classes?

[ not that there's anything wrong with art class! he just sucks at talking. ]

[okay, she might have been a little embarrassed at that.]

No.

[and she knows how much he doesn't like small talk; the rest of this can wait for another time, she figures. so she pushes the paper away and just smiles at him, wings flitting behind her back. she's having some trouble walking, but she gestures towards the door anyway. maybe he'd like to go out?]

[ that sounds like a better idea... he stands, and reaches for her hand to help her up. ]

[she takes his hand; her legs shake a little, but she's able to stand on her own. nill smiles at him encouragingly, and gives his hand a little tug as she starts slowly towards the door.]

[ heine watches her, worrying ~inside. he follows willingly, and out they go! ]
