2 fragile wings: video
I have seen much of this world now, and it is quite amazing. I do have to say that. There are things here of which no Pernese man has ever dreamed. Perhaps we never will. Our lives have been shaped by different forces. I can - and do - accept this.
But no place we have gone on Earth can take away our loneliness. There are no Pernese dragons for Lioth to speak with, and I find it difficult to adjust to the lack of Thread after 12 Turns of fighting. In fact, I believe I almost understand the Oldtimers in that.
Still, I should thank the Porter. Lioth has found his flame, and with no need for firestone.
[That laugh isn't quite as happy as his usual kind. At least he's trying.]
I can see that I am not the only one drowning in his own sorrows, today. There must be something to ease the sting of recent events.
Perhaps this City should arrange a Gather?
[And now, a couple of personal messages, because he's had time to learn how to make them:]
Good day, Lord Mitchell. I trust you are well. If I could impose on your time?
Are you still here, girl? We are prepared to take you a-dragonback, if it would please you.
And how are you doing, dear black dragon?

Out of "any time I like", mm? How about now?

Now is as good a time as any.
[He pockets the communicator, gives Lioth's side a hearty thump of affection, and climbs up the offered foreleg to settle himself on the bronze's neck. As soon as the riding straps are secured, Lioth takes off, and the moment he gets high enough, he winks out of sight. A few people still roaming the park gasp and point at the spot where they'd been.]
[Three heartbeats later, the pair appear out of thin air, and begin gliding down toward the grass.]

She doesn't look too surprised to see them, even if there is a little flare of jealousy. It takes her a lot of work to teleport that far, dammit. ]
How timely.

[He gives her a gracious little half-bow from where he's seated, part serious despite the smile. And then, he notices that she's nearly the size of a queen. No wonder she's as commanding as she is!]
Fascinating. You truly do not have a rider?

I do. [ Idly, a little distracted, and definitely none too concerned. ] He's not here.
[ And man, would she ever hate it if he were. That guy's a dick. ]

A shame. I should have liked to meet the man brave enough to suit you.

[ She's fighting pretty hard here to look disinterested, but now and then a forked tongue flicks out to taste the air far more often than it would usually, and she still hasn't looked away from Lioth. At least he's about the same size as her. None of that Ysera business, which is just way too big for a dragon (that isn't herself), as far as Khisanth is concerned. ]
