Yeah. It looks that way. I may be wrong. Either one of them could be someplace else. I'm sure there are loads of reasons that are keeping them from saying so.

[ There's a pause. ]

Buckbeak was at our place this morning. I thought he was just hungry.

Someone's going to have to look after him.

I'm going to have to find home for Lily's pet monkey. Any suggestions?

A monkey? That’s the last thing should be around Fred and George. I dunno. But I suppose…I mean, I fed him already, I suppose Buckbeak could come back here if he wanted.

[ She just doesn’t even finish that. She’ll see Harry again, some day, and he’ll be the right age. A year older than her again. But James…he was her friend, and now she’d never see him again. Not unless he came back here. ]

[ Tonks shakes her head. ]

[ She might be rubbish with animal care but she can cast wards and charms with the best of them. ]

It's awful, Ginny. Everything is so bloody temporary here. It's like just as soon as we get used to something, it's taken away.

[ It's different than home, even with a war going on. Home is at least familiar, the City is not. ]

[ Ginny goes outside, and after checking to make sure no one's looking, she apparates to James' old house. She goes up to Tonks' side. ]

[ Tonks waits for Ginny. When she arrives, she gives her a sad little smile. ]

I'm fine. People come and go all the time. I should be used to it. What about you?

Harry had only just got here. [ Her voice sounds neutral. She doesn’t know what to think about that.

Part of her is glad he’s gone home, for more reason than one. But that feeling has guilt attached to it, so she doesn’t want to talk about it.

James is more of a sure thing. She looks more openly upset now. ]

James was my friend. I liked talking to him, and now…

Unless he comes back, that’s it, isn’t it. I’ll never see him again.

James was a great partner. You want hear something's that worse than that, Ginny? If we go back, we won't even remember. Isn't that a load of rubbish?

I've always hated the thought of that. I don't want to forget the people I've met here. It's horrible.

[ She even dislikes that she came up with the depressing statement. Tonks doesn't like to be the bearer of bad news. ]
