Everyone I need to talk to you about one of our new arrivals. His name is Alucard and he's uh, my Master. I know he doesn't seem like the most normal of people and if he's already scared some of you I'm sorry, but he just likes spooking people that's all. He didn't really deal with people outside of our work back home so he did that a lot.

Now if he um...look if you have a problem with him can you at least contact me first and I'll try to fix it, alright? Also please, please don't get into a confrontation with him. He's not going to back down and he takes these things very seriously and it doesn't end well so just don't.

Not reliably, beyond remaining calm. Or perhaps to simply not feel at all! Though that would be quite impossible, and most undesirable when considered fully.

I'm equipped to handle it. It's preferable that the burden be inflicted on myself rather than another.

As unpleasant a truth as it may be, sometimes there will unavoidably be hurt caused. Not all of it can be prevented, but we may potentially redirect it onto a more acceptable target.

That's why I usually take the lead on raids. If I'm the first through the door than the other officers won't get shot up and I can handle it a lot better than they could even with the vests.

The problem is I can only be in so many places at once so we still lose people and sometimes even when I'm there...
