[a wave, smiling big. definitely not close to bedtime for this one.] I have to admit, I've been quite distracted by a great deal lately...no doubt much has been shared and discussed here since then. My apologies, those I know who I might've overlooked! It's not intentional. [his eyebrows furrow with the apology to make it more apparent.

BUT THAT ASIDE,] But I'm curious! Do many of you participate in sports here? I've seen and read about so many in just this region alone, let alone the planet as a whole...[slight pause.] And some don't seem particularly enjoyable in some perspectives...But perhaps the pros outweigh the cons?

Hello, Miss Collette! [wave.] Well, I'd seen a few in action out in the city green spaces...the, ah, [fingers wiggle while he fishes for the term.] one with the –– baseball, yes, and...And the one the younger ones were playing, which was significantly rougher, I thought! Though I've yet to find an official term for it in the reference guide I acquired...

They just kept hurling themselves into each other, one at a time, with the others linking arms! It was...well, I wasn't quite sure what the purpose of that one was...

Amoeba? No, everyone would be running around then... was it Red Rover? "Red Rover, Red Rover, let Charlie come over!"

[ That or football, but kids didn't usually link up arms for that one. Collette's brow furrows as she tries to think of what other games she's seen kids play over the years. Nevermind that she'd mostly not been involved in those ones! She'd still kept track. ]

That's it, yes! I remember that chant! Red Rover? Does that name have some kind of significance?

Not unless someone had a red dog named rover at some point and he watched kids cross the street or something!

You might find out at the library, or on the internet. I've got no real idea!

I think that depends on the sport. Some of them are a little more full-contact than others.

More's the mystery to me, Mister Stark! Why would people wish to cause themselves such pain? I've found pain to be a very unpleasant experience, myself...[his head tilts.] Perhaps it is because I've never been conditioned for it?

I'd say that's quite a bit of it. Well, that and some people find that they're really good at running into other people.

[a wincing smile, a chuckle in his voice:] I, I suppose that's true! Though goodness knows I'd prefer to avoid such people if I could...Those sorts of activities aren't for me.

Oh, like... basketball and football and baseball and swimming and dueling and volleyball and tennis and darts and skateboarding and racing... tons of stuff!
