Three trolls have all died here at least once to my knowledge. Eridan has not yet come back.

Spring turns to summer, which turns into fall and then winter, before becoming spring again. The world works in cycles. Time turns and repeats itself. Here death is not the end, merely a part of a cycle. So it continues. The others will continue killing each other. It is how it was before you arrived, and during your brief departure. And there is always a possibility of one of you not reviving, of being lost forever.
