[ So Julian's been gone somewhere close to a week. He finds that out from a newspaper stand. For him it's been a hell of a lot longer than a week, and his head is spinning now. Memories he hadn't known were there are rising to the surface, fitting back into place. Friends, enemies, people from other worlds. Events he'd thought he'd never forget. Skrulls, Vulcanus.
God, this is weird.
And last time he'd been here, he hadn't looked like this.
He's walking through the City, metal hands concealed in his pockets. Every part of this is a mess. His powers are holding the phone to his ear, and there's no video.
He sounds like he's bored. ]
This place has good timing. I was almost in math class.
So I'm back. You can all stop missing me now. Since nothing's in pieces I'm gonna guess no one tried to destroy the place this week. Did I miss anything worth telling?

Oh, hey.... personal business aside, I'm going on vacation. Robert [Callie's assistant] is going to "run the place" while I'm doing meetings and other stuff electronically. There's a couple things I need from you while I'm away.

Okay. Tell me. I'm gonna guess whatever I'm down for isn't paperwork.

You're going to have to work fairly closely with the CPD. You and all of your subordinates. Their support is running thin, and Seras could use the help.

[ He never liked the cops. But he likes them a hell of a lot less now. ]

Don't tell me this whole Bauer thing is effecting your ability to do your job. I thought you were better than that.

It's the same here. People don't trust ImPorts anymore. They aren't on our side. They never were, and they're never gonna be. What happened with Bauer just makes sure of it.

This is exactly why we need you and your team there. If we don't give the CPD ImPort support, it's always going to stay full prejudice, judgmental native bastards.
If ImPorts just roll over while the CPD falls to shambles without their heads on straight, how are you expecting things to change around here.

[ He remembers natives shooting at Houston even though he was an ImPort. He remembers kids being beaten up, and graffiti on walls. Just like home. Which means that just like home, the only authority he wants to be fighting for is the one that looks after what his people need to survive. ]

What I don't get is you're bitching about the CPD hating Imports... when I'm asking you to give you to help give them Import support. If you didn't catch it, Seras isn't the only Import working there.
