[Ryusei's looking a little bruised when he turns on the comm. A cut on his forehead's been recently patched up and he's putting on the timid act again. By the looks of things, he's in the clinic.]

Is it safe to come out again? There are no more monsters?

[He frowns, looking around.]

I am sorry I was not able to help while there were. I was attacked by the men in masks and hid. I am very sorry.

[He bows sightly to the camera. There's a pause, Ryusei needing a moment to hide his annoyance at this act. Eventually he straightens back up.]

Is there anything I can do to help now that the fighting is over?

There's only the damage left from all that fighting.

I saw that there was damage. [He frowns.] I do not think I could be much help in repairing it all.

[ A casual shrug. ]

There are people on it already, I think.

Are you going to be among them?

Ah, I am sorry. My name is Ryusei Sakuta.

No, I don't think so. [ He doesn't know. He's not really a "hero" or whatever the Porter wants.

And he has no idea how to pronounce his name properly. NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A NAME... ]

I see. Were you hurt during the battle?

[He bows slightly.] It is very nice to meet you, Gilbert.

No, I kept away from most of it. [ Occasionally had to shoot monsters, but he made it out without being gravely injured. ]

Ah, you were lucky as well then.

Do monsters like that appear here often? [Yes, he's worried about that.]

[ A brief pause. ]

Did you arrive here recently?

[He nods.]

I arrived shortly before the monsters began to appear.

Yeah... things like this happen sometimes. [ At least, from what he's been told. ]

But this was all caused by some criminals.

That man who shot the police officer and that doctor he was talking about, correct? [He frowns, expression turning serious more for a moment.]

It was fate that they were punished for their crimes.

[And the seriousness fades quickly.]

This has happened before? It will happen again?

Right. [ He looks a little disgusted himself. ]

I don't know. Possibly. It's not the first time strange monsters like those have shown up and attacked the City. There were-- aliens-- back in the winter.

Aliens? There's no such thing as aliens.

This whole experience is very strange. Monsters and aliens...home was not like this at all. They were just urban legends. [A lie but its part of the act.]

We don't have aliens either. I'd never heard of things like "outer space" until here.

I have heard of outer space before. I attended a highschool founded by a man that went into space. Programs to begin training to become an astronaut were offered.

Astro... sorry? [ He's like nearly 200 years behind everyone weh. ]

Ah...I am sorry. A person who goes into space for science and exploration is an astronaut. [He's smiling but he silently wondering what rock Gilbert lived under.]

[ A pseudo-Victorian era rock. ]

Oh, so that's what it's called. We don't have that yet.

People come from different times here. The technology in my world is not as advanced as yours.

This place is very, very strange...[Time travel on top of everything else? This is too much for Ryusei.]

[ A soft snort. ]

The pamphlet that Ms. Danvers recommended I pick up did not help as much as I had hoped it would either.

Ah..yes. In the building with the machine that brought us here you can get an information booklet about this City.

What sort of information? [ He missed this on being ported back here because whoops dumped in New Zealand. THANKS, LACHESIS. ]

It is all about the City and was written for people that are new here. I am sorry I do not have it with me. There were many of them at the building, I am sure you could still get one.

But you say it's not actually helpful?

It was helpful but did not have all the answers I wished it would have.

What exactly are you looking for?

I was hoping for a way home. [He offers an embarrassed smile.] Or information about my home.

there's always clean up.
and stuff.

I am not sure I would be much help in cleaning up the damages from battle. [Still pretending to be a random highschool student without any special powers after all.]

What stuff do you mean?

Well, I don't mean like moving rubble and stuff. But there's probably a ton of places who need help sweeping or whatever. Little things, you know.

Oh! I am sorry. I could help with that. I thought you meant construction. [He gives a small laugh.]

Nah, we've got a bunch of heavy lifters around. I'm sure anyone'd appreciate someone giving them a hand with the small things.

[He nods.] Do you know where the most help is needed? I would like to do as much as I can to make up for being unable to fight. [He really doesn't but its part of his act. And he might be able to gather more information about the City if he's around more people.]

Me? Not really. But there's probably some head honcho in charge you can find if you look around.
