[Back dated to the last night.

The screen shows nothing but a sea of stars, perfectly clear in the night's sky so it's obvious Jade's outside the city.  The sound of crickets and the rustle of the wind in the grass can be heard.  It's all really, really peaceful.]

Back home I used to stare up at the stars all the time like this.  Just me and Bec.  It was always so peaceful, sometimes I even fell asleep under the stars.  Although I'd always wake up in my bed.  Bec was good about that.  [She gives a small laugh.]

As exciting and interesting as the city is it doesn't have this.  This beautiful view of the stars.

Sometimes I think people really need to just put everything down and get away from it all.  Just relax and stare up at the sky.  Get lost in their thoughts or whatever.

[She reaches over and picks up the camera, giving the viewer a dizzying blurry view of the sky before it settles on her.  Her ears flick back and forth with every sound around her.  She smiles brightly and gives a little wave.]

Everything was so hectic when I arrived so hello again City.  I'm Jade Harley and I've been here almost a week now.  Although, from what I've been told I was here before.  So I'd like to say I'm sorry to anyone I was friends with before.  Sorry that I don't remember any good times we might have had.  But that doesn't mean we can't make new ones.

That was really it.

Oh wait...unrelated but uh, interesting choice of defacement on the moon.

[She sets the comm back down in the grass with the camera pointed skyward.  For a few more moments there's nothing but the sky and the sounds of an ending summer before the feed cuts off.]

[she just blinks rapidly for a few seconds.]

Oh. That is very kind of you to offer Jade.

[dogwitch]

[She smiles brightly and bobs her head in a nod.] Well I have these powers so why not use them to make people happy?

[culver]

[nill tilts her head slightly.]

What sort of power?

[dogwitch]

I can go pretty much anywhere I want. I can also tell exactly where someone or something is.

[culver]

[nill is clearly impressed and... slightly envious]

That is really cool. I bet it is very useful.

[dogwitch]

It's been very useful. [Really those two abilities are just the tip of the Godtier iceberg.]

[culver]

[nill probably couldn't wrap her head around it]

I wish I had a power like that.

[dogwitch]

It's cool and all but... [She trails off, frowning. She's not even sure how to go about explaining the downside of obtaining powers like her own or her friends. Better yet, just going to change the subject.]

What kind of powers do you have?

[culver]

[changing the subject is always a solid choice. nill smiles a bit.]

Telepathy. But only when I touch someone. It is how I talk.

[dogwitch]

Oh that's neat!

[culver]

[her smile softens.]

It has helped me a lot. I used to only be able to type at people. And when I first got here I could not write at all.

[dogwitch]

Well see, that's a very useful ability to have. Even if it's only touch based at least you can still communicate with people in an easier fashion.

[culver]

[jade sure knows how to cheer nill up.]

You are right. And even if I did not have it I can still text.

[dogwitch]

[Cheering people up should be one of her super powers.

She nods, smiling brightly.]

[culver]

[nill just returns the smile. she doesn't want to start asking about the other kids from jade's world because it would probably be uncomfortable to have a stranger know so much about you, so she'll try to ease into it:]

Where are you from?

[dogwitch]

[She actually wouldn't find it too weird. After all she knows she was here before and she knows her friends have been here a while.]

A volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean not far from Australia. It was a nice place with some old ruins.

[never having been a duplicate, she doesn't know that. sadly.]

I have never seen a volcano. Those are dangerous right?

[dogwitch]

They can be. But we never had a problem with the one on our island.

[culver]

That is good. I cannot imagine how terrifying an erupting volcano must be.

[dogwitch]

Very terrifying I'm sure.
