[Sometime really early in the morning.

Jade's somewhere off comm at the moment, she's fumbling around trying to find something that fits her.]

Oh dear. This is...this is very strange. [The comm moves over on it's own to show Jade from the back. Her ears are still there, her hair is much longer, and her pajamas are looking a tad bit on the small side. After a few more moments of going through her closet she turns toward the camera and folds her arms over her chest. She's suddenly very self-aware and trying to hide just how tight that shirt is on her. Her face has thinned out a bit but it's easy to tell who she is.

She clears her throat and nudges the comm up a bit so it's only showing her from the shoulders up.]

It seems I've grown. A lot. None of my clothes currently fit and my glasses aren't as useful as they should be. Which is incredibly bothersome.

[She pauses as she adjusts her glasses.]

So is this the doing of Lachesis or something else? Or do we simply not know yet?

And one last thing, would someone please let me borrow some clothes? I have no idea what size I am now but nothing I own fits anymore.

Well... it is pretty early. [ }:\ ] I only woke up, because of a horn accident that I had that isn't something that would normally happen, and then everything was just sort of, crazy.

[ also yeah he has no clothes so that camera is just going to stay on his face forever. ]

At least you're not hurt, right? Just startled. [Like everyone else that's been affected.

Her's is remaining on her face as well.]

I'm not hurt. Just, yeah, startled is a good word for it. Being looking like a lot of sweeps older isn't something I thought I...

[ would ever see, because he never planned on living past six sweeps (and never did, either). ]

...uh, would have to be expecting as a thing that would happen.

I don't think anyone expected to wake up to finding themselves older.

[Although the way he says that worries her.]

Then it's a bit of a pleasant surprise?

I guess so, hehe. It is pretty cool, being big, after all.

It's certainly...different. I think I might enjoy this more if my clothes fit.

[ slowly glances down... and then back up again. ]

Uhhh, yeah. I think that's a mutual problem that we might be having.

[And that would be Jade's face turning a bit red.]

Kanaya is supposed to be bringing clothes for us here. Have you talked with her about clothes for yourself.

[ it's okay, Tavros too. ]

No... I kind of, didn't feel like it would be appropriate for me to leave my room, given the situation, and uhh, also because I sort of physically can't.

N-no. I mean you could ask her over the comm... And can't... Oh right the horns would be a hindrance. [She smiles.] I suppose it's a good thing you know people with Spacey powers.

Oh yeah, I guess I could do that. I don't know if she's, up yet, though.

[ then again she's a daytime person so who knows. he rubs one eye and nearly puts it out of its socket because his hands are just too big for life. ]

That's right, uh, you can do the portal things too, like Kanaya does?

She might be. She's an early bird like I am.

[She winces as she watches him. Ow dude.]

Uh...kind of. I can become a portal, I don't really make them. [Awkward smile.]

How do you, actually become one? Does that mean that, people walk through you?

[ ?! how terrifying ]

[She gives a sheepish laugh and nods.]

Ah, yeah. That's exactly it.

Wow, uhh, doesn't that hurt? Or feel weird, or something... and how do they fit?

It kind of tickles. And uh...I don't really know. They just...do. [It's magic. Don't question magic!]

[ well he kind of does a funny eyebrow dance at "tickles" because what does it MEAN but ultimately he's starting to see that he probably shouldn't try to bring too much logic into it. ]

Huh. Well, okay. That's pretty neat, I guess.

[She raises a brow at his little eyebrow dances.] What was that...? [She motions to her eyebrows to indicate what she meant.]

You don't think it's really weird?

Oh—no! Just, I mean, I guess it's weird, but not in a bad way? I didn't really think having stuff go through you would tickle and not just be general unpleasant.

[She gives a little laugh.]

It's not really going through me. I guess. My body becomes the portal and I'm only vaguely connected to it.

Ohh... so I guess that would make it easier, to deal with.

[ a sheepish smile. somehow that bashful look just doesn't look right on his adult face. ]

Man, I wish that I had cool powers, like that.

A little. Doesn't stop it from tickling.

But you can talk to animals right? That's really cool.

Yeah, but, I was born with that and it's just, pretty much an average ability for me.

So. All I had was my Skaian cloud dreams for a long time. I think talking to animals would have been more fun that.

Well, but, you had your powerful furbeast lusus companion to talk to, although I guess maybe not the same way that, I commune with them.
