Well, okay. I'm used to really weird stuff happening by now but this goes up to a 7 in Leo's scale of weird.

I mean this is all fine and dandy [He waggles the pamphlets in front of the cameras, not-really refraining from rolling his eyes because really? Pamphlets? So 40ies.] but I was kind of in the middle of something back at home. Something... important.

And dog-tags aren't really my thing anyway. [He waggles them as well, making the metal 'clink'.] And apparently this here is going to be my room? F Y I I don't plan on staying in here long enough to need one so this is kinda creepy. Is the mist playing around with me head? Again? Because seriously I am pretty sure that's gonna cause some permanent damage and I don't mean to imply I'd sue but [Have a dramatic finger pointing out right at the screen] I'd totes sue.

Soooo Jason? Piper? Percy? Annabeth? Hazel? ...Uh, Frank? [Yes he's indeed calling for Frank this is serious stuff going on here.]

If you're around just tell me what's going on so we can get the hell out, okay?

[That's... not an answer he was expecting. Makes sense, and if Leo had thought about it first he wouldn't have even asked. But him saying that makes it clear that something happens, and he doubts it's something good.]

Well... okay, I guess. Makes sense.

[ At least, nothing that Leo's not good enough to overcome. ]

Hey, let me ask you something. When you're from, have you talked much to Hazel? [ Because they seem pretty close from what Jason remembers, but he hasn't had a chance to ask about it yet. ]

['To you' he says, and that's kind of worse because now Leo will keep on asking himself what will happen to the others. At least he hasn't talked to a certain goddess yet, that will make him feel even worse.]

Well, okay then. And Hazel is the one with the pretty eyes? We barely talked to each other but I think she's into me. She kept looking at me and everything.

Mmm. Yeah. I mean, I guess so? [ 'Pretty' isn't exactly the word Jason would have used to describe her eyes. 'Unusual', maybe, or 'odd'. He knows not to say so. He remembers enough about Hazel to know she feels like the odd one out enough as it is. ]

You guys pretty much always do that. You, Hazel and Frank. I guess whatever's going on hasn't really started yet.

Do you like her, man?

[He wrinkles his nose] Frank, too? He looks like a tiny sumo player.

[At the question, he shrugs. He had said it in a joking way before but now his tone gets serious.] She's cute? But she has a boyfriend and we just met, don't think I'd go for that if that's what you're asking.

But I was serious about the looks, creeped me out a little.

[ Jason smiles a bit. Leo giving Frank a hard time was pretty much a constant on that ship. ]

I don't know what I'm asking. I don't really know what's going on with you guys, we didn't have a lot of time to talk it all through.

Here we've got nothing but time.

I should probably show you where the MAC is.

I guess we'll find out what it is when we get back home.

[He tilts his head] The MAC? Are you going to get me an apple computer?

[ Cue confusion. Look, you'd be lucky if Jason even knew how that differed from a PC, okay. ]

No, the MAC's the apartment block where everyone lives. They give things weird names here. The psychiatric hospital is called 'No Hope', seriously.

[Leo's eyebrows reach unexpectedly high] Seriously? Remind me to never catch a cold or something.

Will I get a place in the MAC or how does that work?

[ Jason gives him a tight smile. ]

It's easy enough. You still got those dogtags from the Porter?

[Dan-dan-dangling them in front of him again.]

Yup. Wanted to put them inside my belt but I think it's not working properly and didn't want to lose them.

Good. Definitely don't lose them, they're your room key.

[ Jason pulls out his own; he's wearing them around his neck, tucked inside his t-shirt. ]

They also release two hundred bucks a week for you. That's living expenses, I'm told.

Now that's good news... but are we supposed to just get money for doing nothing then?

That much, yeah. They give us the room and that cash as a way or providing for us. It's not much, though, so a lot of people have regular jobs too.

[ He gives Leo a little smile. ] Were you planning to do nothing?

Do I look like the kind of guy to do nothing to you? [Even though he does have a problem with authority and tends to do whatever he wants, that might make it harder to get a job. But the alternative is staying at home doing nothing so...]

So no going to school or whatever for us?

No, I've actually met you. You're that guy who's always doing something. That's why I don't think it'll be a problem.

[ At that second question, Jason pauses. ]

There is a school. I think it's run by ImPorts. I'll be honest, I didn't look at it too hard. I didn't think it was the right place for me. You know, technically, the only school I've ever been to is in Camp Jupiter. I wasn't exactly jumping to get into a normal school; I'd rather keep up with my training. That's what I've been doing.

[Leo shrugs as he reaches to run his fingers through his hair. Piper and Jason know about his... past so there's no sense in dwelling on it- the point is Wilderness school was the one he'd stayed in the longest and even that had been for only a couple of months.

Running away is what he does, and this place wouldn't be any different.] Glad to know I won't be forced to go to class in here, with a little luck I'll get some job working with machines.

You're gonna make me train with you though, aren't you?

[ Jason has no intention of pushing Leo about school. He thinks that’d be about as appealing to his friend as it is to him, and so long as no one is trying to make them do it, he doesn’t see the point. School here won’t help either of them with their quest, anyway.

But training will. He smiles. ]

I thought you might want to. I mean, all those months when you were working on the Argo, you didn’t get to train nearly as much as you should have. It’s been a long time since it’s even just been the two of us.

[ Longer for Jason. He’s missed his friends a lot – Leo and Piper most of all. ]

[Training to battle is really not Leo's favorite thing. Hephaestus' children were meant to build things, not destroy them. Build the machinery to help the troupes out? Absolutely. Fighting one-to-one? Not so much.

But if he's honest with himself, those months seeing everybody train and have fun and play catch the flag while he was working non-stop to get the Argo II working were really not the most pleasant ones.]

You know what? I'd love to get some training on. Just not... too-Roman training? And if you throw a wolf at me I'm out. Just saying.

Dude, I don't even have any wolves. Besides, it couldn't be too Roman-centric unless I had a Legion to command, and I'm as short of that here as I am at home.

[ Though at least here, no one else is directing the Legion against him. That makes a nice change. ]
