Finally.

Better late than never, I guess. Still, I'd like to wring some necks over it, but that's aside the point. We've finally gained a hearing for Jack Bauer's release.

It was touch-and-go for a while there, but it's a damn good thing I'm persistent.

I had to do some explaining when I got back from Metricog, but there doesn't seem to be a problem. The administration here knows things like that tend to happen to Imports, they understand I didn't have a choice.

Right. That helps, needless to say saves some time of me trying to explain it.

They seemed to appreciate that I didn't try to run once I was back. That didn't stop them from giving me an ankle tracker, though. It looks like I'm going to be stuck with it for a while.

Yeah, they probably want to keep tabs on you for a while, even after we get you out of there.

Makes sense. We just need to work with it.

I can handle it. If there weren't any strings attached, I'd be suspicious. I think we're lucky they're giving us this much to work with.
