[the text switches off, as Harry accidentally manages to nudge it to video. you get a close-up of Harry, looking down at they keyboard and typing in a decidedly hunt-and-peck manner before he notices that the camera is on.]

Oh! Why hello there...I didn't know they made cameras this small. [a pause while he stares at the camera-then smiles slightly.] Anyway chaps, my name's Harry Sullivan, formerly of the Royal Navy now working with UNIT. I don't suppose any of you have seen a man called Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart around here, have you?

One I hope he has earned. [ Her level of skepticism remains high but it's best to move on. ] UNIT?

[ It's the second time she's heard him mention it. And then, remembering the question he asked - ]

I am afraid I have not heard of anyone named Lethbridge-Stewart in the City, but that does not mean he will never arrive.

The United Nations Intelligence Taskforce. It's a bit hush-hush, but mostly deals with human and alien relations, something that I'm sure you're familiar with.

[cause...well, you're orange.]

I know one or two humans, yes. [ There's a small smile at that, but she doesn't elaborate. ] Although nothing about an organization focused solely on maintaining good relations with them. They simply end up as members of the Green Lantern Corps at a higher rate than anyone else.

[ And at the same time. A beat, and she figures she should introduce herself. ]

Doctor Soranik Natu, and you are?

Pleased to meet you, Doctor Natu. I'm Harry Sullivan. [He smiles warmly at the video.] Now tell me, what are the Green Lantern Corps?

It's an intergalactic paramilitary organization that promotes peace and order in the universe.

[ Explain it enough times and it rolls right off the tongue. ]

I say! [He sounds super duper interested.] Well, old girl, can you tell me more?

Natu is fine. [ It's nothing personal, she just doesn't like being called anything other than her name. ] Of course. Is there anything in particular you are interested in, or would a general overview suffice?

A general overview would be wonderful.

[ A sphere appears suddenly on the feed - glowing bright green and floating in front of Soranik. It breaks apart into semi-transparent triangular wedges with a solid point of light at the focal point. ]

Guardian controlled space is broken up into 3600 sectors [ The slices glow more brightly for a second. ] each with a variable number of sentient worlds. Two Green Lanterns are chosen from each sector to patrol it by something called a 'power ring' and are trained on Oa. [ The slices fall away, leaving the bright pinpoint of light. ] Located at the center of the universe, it's our base of operations and where the Guardians of the Universe live.

[Harry just watches like this is the most interesting thing on the planet.]

How exactly does the power ring choose Green Lanterns?

We are selected on our ability to overcome great fear. And willpower, but it stands to reason that it naturally follows the first requirement.

It sounds a bit like an interstellar police organization, if you ask me.

I would not say it is an inaccurate description. But there has been an increase in trouble that requires us to take a harder stance against our enemies than before.

That's how it usually works. Fun and games until someone mucks it all up.

Both, actually. I worked with UNIT and then I traveled with the Doctor for a while.

[ She'd normally assume so, but he did mention that UNIT worked with extraterrestrial life. ]

Heavens, no. Through time and space. The Doctor has a time machine-a TARDIS, he called it, that he used to take me and Sarah to different planets.

[ Wait, wait, hold up. ]

A time machine?

Precisely! It could be rather inconvenient at times however-we ended up visiting the same spaceship with a thousand years difference.

But still a remarkable feat of engineering regardless.

[ She's impressed, even if it's not her field. ]

The Doctor was the one who made it, not me. I can barely turn on my computer.

[ She still can't get over that capital D. ]

Indeed. He's...ah, an interesting man.

[Though, Harry's tone of voice plainly says that he's substituting 'interesting' for 'eccentric', 'confusing' or 'nonsensical.']

[ There's a small raise of her eyebrow at that, although she supposes one would have to be to travel through time and space.

It also seems like the sort of thing the Guardians would have a fit over. ]

I can only imagine. Perhaps he will arrive as well as your Brigadier. [ A beat. ] While I have only been here for a few months, if you require assistance, do not hesitate to ask.
