[filtered from baddies]

I know I made a big deal before about how I didn't want to go to school and how I wasn't good at it and all... But I think I want to now.

Does anyone know how I could do that? I guess I need to go talk to them, but don't you usually do that with your parents? I haven't seen my parents in a really long time, so, I don't really know what to do there.

[telepathy to Soldier Blue]
Blue, can you hear me?

Oh yes, school can be quite a wonderful experience! There's so many books that you can learn about that you otherwise might not even know about!

When I'm teaching a new class, I never hesitate to begin by sharing all my favourite books, and I'm certain that at least some of my students discovered them that way! Of course, if they hadn't I wouldn't be terribly upset, so long as they've been able to read them.

That's a shame. School isn't a competition, or at least it isn't supposed to be, so even if there's some things you may not be terribly good at, there should be something that you are!

Right now I'm only a substitute, but I hope to have a long-term teaching job eventually. It was something of a part-time job I did back home, so picking it up again here seems fitting, don't you think?

That's good, then! Sometimes it can take a while for someone to discover their talents and what they enjoy doing.

History or literature, mostly. I've had to cover for some other subjects when there was a need, but since the two I mentioned are really my specialities, I tend to be more effective in those classes. Though, I think I tend to overwhelm a little when it comes to those subjects, so it might be better to change to something else, at least for a little while.

Well... someone DID give me a link to a school that's here. I'll need to find it again. Gah, I knew I should have kept up with everything...!

But, yeah, I know the feeling somewhat. School's not the greatest for me. Especially when being a hero cuts into it... and your mom's dating your teacher...

It's a little late in the year to enroll, but I'm sure it can be managed. Maybe if someone were willing to play guardian? The usual papers can be faked.

Hello.

If you are in need of somebody to play the role of either parent or guardian, I am willing to assist you.

[identity profile] manlygirlskrull.livejournal.com 2009-03-08 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed. I have had to employ such measures before.

Of course, Sora. I will look over them for you.

[identity profile] manlygirlskrull.livejournal.com 2009-03-08 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
You are welcome.

That is fine. Let me know when you are ready.

[Staring at his screen, things like 'school' and 'parents' are definitely popping out.]

Sora?

[identity profile] soldieringshin.livejournal.com 2009-03-08 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
This is Jomy; Jomy Marcus Shin. We've spoken before - do you remember? I'm... I know Blue from my world.

[voice too sdfas.]

It's nice to talk to you again, Sora.

Ah, yes. He accepted to let me help him control his abilities a little better.

We are- were, of sorts. He doesn't remember, though, as you may have noticed.

[Pausing for a moment, he sounds a little hesitant - if not slightly shy]

You were talking about going to school. And... your parents?

Hello?

Who is this? Are you like me and Jomy?
soldieringblue: (‹when things changed›)

[personal profile] soldieringblue 2009-03-08 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Sora...

[pause, trying to think if he'd heard the name before. then, apologetically]

You're one of my friends I forgot, aren't you? I must have a lot. I don't remember anything about this place from before this week. I'm sorry.

[personal profile] soldieringblue 2009-03-08 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't mind. If it's just learning to talk and listen to things in your head, I can do that alright. Jomy's helping me control it better now. Maybe he can give you some pointers, too! At least until I'm...older-me again, if that happens. Elita says we're all going to change back soon, though, so.

Hey Sora. The guy that brought us here set up a program for those of us who want to go back to school, but it's a little late in the semester to enlist.

I'm at a private academy at the moment. It's actually pretty nice.

Anyway [HERE] is a link to the registration info. Let me know if you need help.
