Okay, I get it; Lachesis does not appreciate a hands on approach. Does she really call herself that? I guess she doesn’t get memos, but I thought I washed my hands of this alternate universe mess a while ago and I’m seriously not interested in being apart of it.

The City... that’s original. [ A light scoff. ] Should have stuck with New York.

If anyone from the JSA or the League is—oh. One second. [ The audio cuts for about five minutes before it’s switched back on and Peej sighs. ] That was a close call.

Sorry, as I was saying: All-stars or JSA, Leaguers, Titans, heck even Legionnaires ... this is Power Girl. I think I’ve gotten the gist of the situation, but if there’s anything else I need to be briefed on get in contact with me ASAP.

I'm head of security for City Hall. I try not to do what the crazy A.I. says if I can help it, but sometimes I don't really get a choice.

Lately, she's got a thing for sending us over to other universes. It's kinda been a pain.

She zaps you back and forth between other universes? What for?

[ He grunts; the shrug is all but audible. ]

As far as I can tell? It's to get us to do her dirty work for her. Try to get people to step off her turf. ImPorts aren't exactly the most popular bunch around, so we've got people coming up with all kinds of ways to get to us. Lachesis doesn't like anyone else messing with her stuff, I guess.

How often does she sent people out? And where to?

She's sent people out three times now, only since the start of this year. Every couple of months -- not the same world, either. First time was some kinda clockwork city, next was some kinda waterworld ripoff, and the last one was like the City married 1984 and had a baby.

I've only been here about a year, so if she did anything like this before that, I couldn't tell you.

[ She absorbs all this information, though she's kind of befuddled by the details. What the heck kinda worlds now? ]

I wonder what changed between the last year and one before it, then.

[ To be perfectly frank, Bradbury's not the best guy to ask about this trans-dimensional crap, but he figures she can probably guess that much herself even without him saying it. ]

I don't know what the official theory is, but my guess is that it's because someone else started messing with jumping to other dimensions too. Vulcanus. Guess you could call 'em the "bad guys," at least as far as imPorts are concerned.
