[Minako is at the Pie Hole, of course, taking a moment in the midst of getting ready to open... but that has nothing to do with the reason she's posting to the Network right now. She looks uncertain, and troubled; she should probably have shared this information sooner, but she's had her doubts about what to say, and how publicly.

She still has doubts, so when she speaks, it's hesitant and very brief.]

I think... I might have found out something about Atropos.

That would be one way. You don't have to. I can come to you if you'd prefer, it just... might take a little longer.

No, I can come. But if you're really trying to protect someone, are you sure saying it in public is best? You don't know the Pie Hole ain't bugged.

[ Lessons in paranoia: he's providing. ]

That's true... but it seems more likely that they'd be monitoring the Network than one little pie shop.

If they're watching that closely already, there might be no helping it. I don't know why they would be, though.

The point is, there could always be someone watching. Anyways I said I'd come.

[ The camera jostles for a while before the video feed winks off. He's still here by voice, but he figures she doesn't need to see him traveling. ]

You know you ain't the only one who's had revelations to share lately?

It seems a little too convenient for this stuff to be coming up all at the same time. But I can't just ignore it, either.

You know, when things seem too convenient? They usually fucking are, and it never means anything good.

[ By now, he’s made his way to the Pie Hole. He comes in the door, eyes casting around for her while he checks whether they’re alone or not. ]

[Minako's leaning on the counter, but aside from her, the dining area is quiet - it's a slow time of day, and for the moment there doesn't seem to be anyone else around. As Julian comes in, Minako raises a hand to wave.]

Hey... thanks for coming. I'm sorry about the hassle.

[ Julian waves that comment away and comes to sit up on one of the stools at the counter. ]

I told you, I get it. You don't want to be overheard.

[ He puts his device back in his pocket, muffling it as much as he can. ]

So what did you find out?

Well--

[She hesitates a moment, not quite sure where to start; in all likelihood, she thinks, Julian knows more about some of this stuff than she did.]

--the short version is, Vulcanus was trying to scout out other universes for recruits after they started running into trouble here. Recruits, and new sources of power for their Meta-Men. Especially memory manipulation powers.

They found a world made of a darkness, and they made something angry there. It knew Lachesis and Clotho by name.

[ This starts off as nothing he wouldn't have suspected already. It's what he'd thought when they'd run into Skrulls in Metricog. It makes sense.

The second part gives him pause. ]

Something. Like what kind of something? Another Porter?

[She shakes her head.]

The person I spoke to doesn't know. Just - something. It spoke into his head, he said. Words, and then just whiteness, until he woke up again.

He was the only one who came back, and he doesn't know how.

God. It’s probably just some telepath, screwing with his head. If he knew Lachesis and Clotho, so would someone playing in his mind. Maybe one of Vulcanus’ agents. Some of them have powers.

[ Or a Skrull. A psychic Skrull. That sounds like so much fun, he can’t wait to see if anything comes of it. ]

[Minako spreads her hands.]

There's not really any way to tell. Considering the circumstances, it could be that none of it happened the way he remembers it.

I just... felt like it might be important to let people know. In case there's something to it.
