[Minako is at the Pie Hole, of course, taking a moment in the midst of getting ready to open... but that has nothing to do with the reason she's posting to the Network right now. She looks uncertain, and troubled; she should probably have shared this information sooner, but she's had her doubts about what to say, and how publicly.

How? And where?

I didn't know about this until recently, but there used to be recruitment centers operating publicly, here in the City. That was... more than a year ago, before Vulcanus got themselves into so much trouble with the things they did in Venezuela. They had to shut down after that, but the buildings are still there, just... abandoned. I'm not sure how many of them there are, even in the City, but there's one in Queens.
The person who I met was hiding in that building.

He just seemed like a homeless person at first, so I wanted to help him out a little. Since the weather's starting to get cold, I was taking some food and coffee around... I didn't realize he was connected to Vulcanus until later, after I'd talked to him for a little while.
[She pauses for a moment, takes another quick swallow of hot chocolate.]

I don't really know a lot about it either, but - did you know that when they started out, Vulcanus used DNA taken from imPorts to give the Meta-Men their abilities?
From what I was told, eventually the samples that they had reached the limits of their usefulness, so they started having to harvest from earlier rounds of Meta-Men. And then, although this was all before I came here so I don't know a lot about it myself, it seems as though a group of imPorts destroyed one of their main facilities for that kind of thing. So it put Vulcanus in a bind, at least when it came to making new Meta-Men.

He only went on one expedition. He talked about a world made of darkness. There was something there, and they made it angry.
[Minako looks down, hands wrapped around the Moonbucks to-go cup.]
He never mentioned Atropos specifically, so I don't know for sure if that's what it was or not. But it knew Lachesis and Clotho by name.

What has Vulcanus gotten themselves into?

I don't know. I don't know if they've tried to go back, or to - to get control of that power somehow. The... the person who I talked to, he was the only one who came back from that trip, and he's been hiding from Vulcanus since then. Or trying to.
