accidental video (backdated like a week!!)

[ The video comes on with a loud crack; you've just been high-velocity butt-dialed, C&C. The whole screen is green and blurry, and hopefully none of you Cityzens have motion sickness because shortly after an undignified squeak, there's a booming roar and that's when the scrambling really begins. ]

Oh my god! Ohh my god, oh my god this was a bad idea! [ A giant green hand comes down out of the middle of nowhere, and Miles scurries away from it over one massive shoulder, and it's pretty clear by now to anyone that would recognize him that the new Spider-Man is wall-crawling uselessly all over The Hulk, trying to avoid being grabbed and Smashed. This (and more comical babbling) goes on for like two minutes before finally: ] Why do I, ah!, always do this?

And why am I talking to mysel-- urk!

[ The video abruptly stops bouncing around when Miles gets caught. Suddenly there's a giant puzzled Hulk face taking up the whole screen, sniffing a couple times and then letting out a big wuff of breath. ]

Uhhh. Hi?

[ Aand the feed cuts! Replies will ICly come in an hour or so after the events in Bruce's log here, so he has time to de-Hulk. ]

Hi, Mr. Banner. I'm Energizer. [She gives a little wave and smile.]

[hulk]

...Energizer. [ Skeptic face is skeptic. Because oh my god, first this Spider-Kid and now. Where are these kids getting these costumes and where are their parents and just. Why. ] Okay, w-well then. Uh. Sorry you had to go and see all that.

[disintegrator]

[she knows that tone and makes such a sour face at it. why does everyone think she's too young to be doing this? she feels she must explain.] Don't give me that look. I've been doing this most of my life.

It's okay. I've seen worse.

[hulk]

That's... Not entirely, you know. Encouraging. Just saying.

And still.

[disintegrator]

I've got a lot of experience. With all this and seeing stuff like that. I mean, it should be encouraging. At least I know what I'm doing.

[hulk]

Th- I mean, it's. Experience is good, that somebody has it at your... Obvious [ lack of ] age, is. Not so much. Sorry, but. ...Just saying.

[disintegrator]

[She shrugs] A lot of people my age do this. Bet I'm about the same age as the that Spider-Man fighting the Hulk.

[hulk]

That's n- I'm going to be having a talk with "Spider-Man" too. This isn- I'd prefer nobody your age going and. All this.

[disintegrator]

I think you mean well, but talking to kids like us wouldn't do any good. We're not doing it because it is fun or easy. We do it because there's not always an adult around to help people and if we have powers we have a responsibility to do something. You shouldn't get mad at him.

[hulk]

Oh... No, I think trying to take on th- that thing is. Mad might be an okay thing.

[disintegrator]

Would you rather no one had been there to take it on?

[hulk]

I'd rather the thing not come out at all, actually.

[disintegrator]

Well. Yeah. [No arguments there.]

[hulk]

...Sorry.

[disintegrator]

You don't have to apologize. You didn't mean it, right?

Doesn't mean it's not my fault.

[disintegrator]

It doesn't mean you should beat yourself up about it either. Everyone's okay.

Maybe there won't be a next time? [Even she thinks that sounds lame. But she's not sure how to go about being comforting to someone she only knows by a not always so sterling reputation.] This place has lots people you might be able to, um, help.

[hulk]

Doubtful.

[disintegrator]

[She fidgets.] ...I'm sorry.

[ A tiny smile. ] Not your fault.

[disintegrator]

[She shrugs and tries to smile back.]

I know the kid Spider-Man said everyone was okay, but are you going to be?

[hulk]

I'll live. [ h e h BECAUSE IT'S NOT LIKE YOU CAN DIE WHEN YOU'RE THE HULK. IT'S OFF THE MENU. ]

That's good! But not really what I meant.
