[cue the brief roar of a shower before the sound of the water being shut off.]

Keeping up a profile is hard work sometimes. Not in an everyday sense of style and appearance but with notable features, like your face. [the feed clicks on to Quentin drying his hair out with a towel. it's relatively normal, until you take a closer look at the pink stains in the towel and streaked across his white shirt.] Since the first impressions come from the face, we look for a couple of key traits. But, no matter the judgement, we use these keys to support our impressions and info of the person.

Say you take a guy in glasses with well kept hair who dresses sharply. What would you think of him? Now take the same guy, shave his hair and dye it, and give him faded and raggedy clothing. Would your opinion change? [he pauses briefly to remove the towel around his head, unveiling his newly dyed pink hair.] Come on, don't lie. We're all a little biased.

It's the very principle of being judged or having that distinct face that we strive for appearances.

Then again, people listen to Mitch and he's not charming. He doesn't give people insulting nicknames, though. So maybe you only need one of the two to get by.

I don't think I've ever heard someone swear more than he has. It's cute, I guess. But not charming.

Hey, I keep perfectly fascinating company around! Uh, sometimes!

Ah, one sec! [She switches to video and does a little wave of her hand, creating something that looks similar to a hologram of a pretty cool looking chick.] Tank Girl. She ran against Mitch for mayor. It was a pretty close election.

[futureleader]

Sometimes? So, Mitch is your only company and he's boring as fuck. And you even slightly admit it.

Nope. Never met her. I didn't get here till late February... admist the skrull situation.

[hexappeal]

What? No! I have plenty of friends! But I won't say that Mitch isn't boring half the time. I think I might be his only real friend. How could I abandon him? Imagine what he'd be like without me!

Ah, too bad! She was pretty awesome. Great taste in music. [And pot...] Mitch and her were friends, too. Can't help but think he'd be a little more chilled out if she were still here.

Still the same old loser that he is now? A nerd? A really geeky old man with no friends. Now, that's just pathetic.

They were friends?

He's my best friend, you know. Might wanna be careful how you talk about him. Even if he is a pathetic nerd.

Mitch's got some surprises about him.

I can say what I want about him because we're sort of besties. [no.]

But he definitely has no surprises about him. He's old, and uncreative.

Really? He never talks about you. [She knows you are full of crap. Being besties with a teenager is pretty much the worst sort of PR ever.]

I've known him for more than two years. I'd say I have the upper hand in the knowledge department.

Oh yeah? Well telepath beats two years of knowledge.

You know who has been protecting his mind from teenage telepaths?

I wouldn't know. I haven't bothered with his mind.

But that just makes me want to break the protection.
