Yes, deluded. If heroes always won, the villains would just give up eventually. They're not all that stupid.

If destiny is predetermined, and you think your destiny is to be a villain, but you chose to be a hero, does that mean it was your destiny to be a hero all along?

Then it's not destiny at all. Just what you--or someone--thinks is the easiest path, or not.

Being a villain is not the easy path! You spend half your time in jail!

Only if you're incompetent. Plus, there aren't nearly as many rules and the gratification's more instantaneous. It's always harder being a hero.
