How do you so easily resign yourselves to the inevitable?

You simply accept that you cannot control your stay here; that there will be threats to your lives and livelihood, that you are at the whims of another...and that, ultimately, you have no control. Even when dying, there is an air of defeat about you.

Is this a Human trait?

Do you really think everyone accepts it? Some do, certainly, but it's hard to describe an entire race based on the traits of a few.

All examples of humanity I have seen leave me less than impressed.

Perhaps you just haven't found the right examples.

Perhaps there are none to be found.

Though if I happen to be wrong, by all means. Show me.

Go out at night and watch people take control of the situation. Look closely enough and you'll see the imports fighting back. Just because there isn't a constant drumbeat for war on the network doesn't mean nothing is being done.

You assume I am blind.

I watch this world and its inhabitants' with an outsider's eye, and I see some action, some effort...

...but it is not nearly enough to light a way forwards.

And I suppose you'll tell me next that you're capable of what you think they cannot accomplish.

I know my capabilities, and I see no reason to flaunt them.

It is Humanity I am trying to understand, and why it functions so.

So you require proof when it is the other, but work on faith for questions of yourself.

Are you asking?

I see absolutely no reason why humans should be under scrutiny when you have done nothing to prove you merit a place from which to critique them.

Unfortunately, circumstances do not allow me to grant you visage of my home which, under my guiding hand, united as one after a world-wide war and moved in to a golden age of culture and progress.

As for repeating those circumstances here; that would assume I have interest in championing this planet or species.

But grandiose schemes of salvation have nothing to do with the kind of passivity you're complaining about. You talk about not having control over anything, which it seems like you're just as much constrained by here in this world.

You have no way of knowing what humans did or didn't do in the worlds they are from but by the frame of your original question, that shouldn't matter anyway.

Cybertron, as a planet, brought itself out of futility. It was not content to destroy itself through a war.

But here- the efforts made seem halfhearted at best. I have read through human history. I know that attempts have been made. But ultimately, the world seems content to stagnate.

Why?

I don't think your definition of stagnating really applies to this world nor the Earths of other humans, Progress is made regardless of how futile it might seem to you. I will grant you that the situation here is of itself different but you seem just as subjected to it as anyone else.

Subjected to, perhaps.

But not content to remain so.

It's amusing to me that you think you're the only one with that sentiment.

As I said. I have seen nothing to suggest otherwise.

And have done nothing to prove your own capacity to care, other than this post. But I'm not sure that gets you anything more than the annoyance of other network users.

If others wish to operate under the assumption I am incapable, so be it. My question was merely to ascertain why, if Humans are capable - why things remain as they are.

For the same reason, I imagine, as your own stagnancy.

Humans must learn how their own kind functions?

A temporary setback, but one present nonetheless. I am not so arrogant to not allow for certain difficulties, such as the different mindsets of different species.

But perhaps it is simply that; a matter of different species.
