How do you so easily resign yourselves to the inevitable?
You simply accept that you cannot control your stay here; that there will be threats to your lives and livelihood, that you are at the whims of another...and that, ultimately, you have no control. Even when dying, there is an air of defeat about you.

I watch this world and its inhabitants' with an outsider's eye, and I see some action, some effort...
...but it is not nearly enough to light a way forwards.

You have no way of knowing what humans did or didn't do in the worlds they are from but by the frame of your original question, that shouldn't matter anyway.

But here- the efforts made seem halfhearted at best. I have read through human history. I know that attempts have been made. But ultimately, the world seems content to stagnate.
