It has come to my attention that Near has left to me certain resources that I am not yet sure how to manage. Among them is the office building that he used to work out of. Once things have calmed down somewhat, I am looking for some tenants. If any heroes are looking for a place to stay, I will have two-to-three rooms available.

Reports of a "Sickness" which leaves those infected by it completely catatonic continue to circulate across the internet; leading scientist speculate that a new strain of the "Sleeping Sickness" may have hit our shores...

Strange Sightings of "cybernetic" animals appearing all over the city continue to grow despite a lack of physical evidence...

So guys, friendly heads-up! I know I've gone on about how Tony Stark is a tool of capitalism and how it's best not to trust anyone over the legal drinking age, and I stand by that, but 19366086 is a first-class douchewaffle of the backstabbing genus, and I'd wear Stark's unflattering armor myself and quote liberally from eighties sitcoms before I'd go anywhere near him with a ten foot poll. And that's my spiel.

And on that note, um, has anyone seen Nico? She wasn't around when I got in last night, but I was trying not to worry. But I haven't seen her all day, and she might have gotten turned into a unicorn again, or something.

A colleague of mine brought up a rather interesting point this morning during rounds -- if we are to consider the latest explosion of "heroes" in this city a new constant introduced to a paradigm, then have we, as humans, reached the end of our of evolutionary path? Will this next "paradigm shift" in our society equate to even more societal separation as people begin to take sides while more and more numbers of "heroes" and "villains" flood into the city? It is truly a frightening thought to consider that your next door neighbor may have it in himself to become the next Joker or Two-face based only on such a faulty concept as circumstance, is it not?

I wonder...What are your thoughts on where we are headed, as a society, now that super powered men and women have been introduced to our lives?

So I've been reading some newspapers and listening to radio. And how people think of 'heroes'... it's sort of funny, fooling them and acting like a normal person, while you hear 'em talking about people like us, who came through the porter.

Also, where'd that egg come from? Apparently the civilians think one of us laid it, but I doubt that.
