I have never really done anything like this before and I'm probably not going to be good at it. But I suppose it's time. I can't stay at the M.A.C. any longer and I can't keep moving like this. It is becoming too much. So I either need a place to stay with someone or a job so I can pay for one myself. If there is anyone that might have a place I could stay temporarily that would be appreciated. It's either this or staying in Limbo.

There's never been a need for me to have a job before so I have never had one. What are you supposed to put when you look for one?

Also was anyone hurt in the attack here in the city while people were away? I heard it was some sort of worm that attacked the city after an earthquake. Was there a reason?

And finally Scott, I will stay with the X-Men if you need me for anything or if something happens that needs them. But I will not return to the institute, thank you again for allowing to stay there when I did.

[ There's a sharp *crack* sound of a comm bouncing off the pavement. The picture is a blur of motion as the unit spins in a sickening circle, coming to rest on an off-center image of a pale blue sneaker.

And then the comm is in motion, someone picking it up off the ground. The view passes over khaki capri pants spattered red. Then a woman's torso, light blue shirt soaked with blood coming from from two rows of holes in her abdomen and chest.

Two row of three stab wounds. As if the woman was impaled by a set of claws.

And then the woman's face comes into view. It's Selina. It isn't clear if she's breathing or not.

The picture jerks suddenly, showing what looks like a narrow alleyway and a glimpse of another body in the background before whoever is holding the comm hurriedly shuts off the video. ]


ooc | See this log for details. By the time anyone finds the alley downtown, Selina's body and her comm will be long gone, though there will be a large pool of blood identifiable as hers. Also, a random dead teenage boy who's been stabbed in the head by a single claw/blade/whatever.

[Sound of airship engines struggling, groans of wounded men, Major himself is panting a bit]

People of the City. I am deeply pleased to announce that we have returned, and that our mission has been a triumph! Almost all objectives were completed successfully, and I can say with confidence that the threat of the HIVE has now been greatly and permanently lessened.

I must, however, regretfully inform you that this victory was not without cost. Jan Valentine and Yuugi Mutou have been killed in action. Captain Hammer and Air Commander Starscream are currently missing. I can confirm that Commander Starscream was last seen badly wounded in an air engagement, urging his comrades to continue fighting without him, completely disregarding his own well-being for the sake of the mission. His gallantry and self-sacrifice are truly an inspiration, and I salute him for his courage!

Also, David Clinton, also known as Chronos, who is responsible for our safe return and without whom this deed could not have been done, appears not to have successfully made the leap back to the City. His status is currently unknown. Several other members of the strike force have been injured, although thankfully none too seriously.

I can only hope that those taken from us will return soon, and praise them for their brave sacrifices. Rest assured they have not been in vain! My deepest thanks and those of all the City are due to those who played their part in this victory.

Now then, if you will excuse me I have a new airship which must be tended to before it falls from the sky. Auf wiedersehn, my friends.

OOC: Major will not be replying to most comments since he's busy with the airship and a rather large gut wound. All characters (Wingboys, Lobster, etc) investigating the Major are now free to start revealing whatever they've discovered about him.

Went with group to investigate tunnel. Found evidence that points to #18426328 as perpetrator. Also found wrecked lab containing cages. Notes about porter. Robotic models. Human-sized.

Wouldn't recommend going back in tunnels. Seem weak. Ready to cave in.

To those of you who knew Thunderhair... Yuugi Mutou. He was on my team. Apparently he missed the initial port down to the surface and was killed while he was trying to rendezvous with us.

But I swear to whatever fucking Gods there are out there... if any of you assfucks blame his death on ME, I will fucking shoot you where you stand. It was HIS decision! HIS choice! I didn't NEED him to come! Nor did I ASK him!

And don't you fucking forget that I lost one of my best friends, too. He's gone, dead, and I don't even have a fucking body to bury, just a memory to honor.
