Cautious, totally hypothetical question: if a couple of condemned buildings just sort of disappeared over the course of the weekend, how much hypothetical trouble would a person get into?

Because if I have to go out in the wilderness to blow up rocks, I'll go into the wilderness to blow up rocks, but I'd rather not ruin my heels.

[ Sounds of jostling and of crowds, and traffic in the background. The camera is jostled mightily and off-screen, Felicia yells: ]

Watch it!

[ She turns the screen to face her; she's unmasked, in a coat (white, black trim), in a crowed store. Her nose and cheeks are pink from the cold and she's got a shopping bag in her arm. c: ]

Well. I found out yet another reason I don't like shopping. My own fault, obviously, for picking this time of year to show my face in a store—but really, it's not quite the experience those old movies like to paint it out to be. I got up early and everything.

However, to look on the bright side, it's a fast way to improve your credit score. If, you know, you use credit cards. There has to be some kind of bright side.

Eyes on the prize, isn't that right, kids?

[ Lowers the communicator, and people in few of the camera trip over each other, miraculously falling out of Felicia's way. Not one to question the bad luck of others, Felicia just struts through the newly cleared path.

Shuts camera off.

[ Encrypted to the Titans ]

I felt Victor slip from my empathy last night...

... Also, I simply feel the need to point out that it doesn't matter where I am - at work, at my home, even overseas; if any of you require my assistance, please let me know. I can be there within moments if I'm told I need to be.
Just in case you can't reach me via this comm, my cellphone number is [here], and I keep it on me at all times. All you have to do is call and I will be there, for any of you.
Communication is vital to any relationship, after all.

You wouldn't happen to know what your friend Dr. Horrible prefers in the way of Christmas gifts, would you?

[There is the sound of heavy traffic and shouting as the audio turns on and then promptly cuts out again. It comes back on and the shouting can clearly be heard now; a man trying to get people to play some kind of game.]

Why don't they ever have gaming licenses?

[The audio cuts off again at the sound of something rubbing across the microphone. It comes back. The speaker sounds almost physically pained.]

So. Much. Noise. [A quiet groan.] Why did I come back here?

*once again the shot is of Ken's toy and game store, only this time, in the back room, amidst a pile of entirely random toys for all ages...a very large pile, most of which is actually off-screen. Alastair is still in his "nicer" work shirt, too*

So, uh, hey do-gooders. It's me again. I thought I would put out a reminder about the toy drive, kind of at the halfway point. It looks like it's going pretty good - I stopped by to check after work and holy crap. I'm sure a lot's from the locals, but they said last week a couple van-loads just showed up out of nowhere - so whoever sent that, man, thanks. Big time.

Because of all this, I think I'm actually gonna have to cut the drive short by a couple days. I need extra time to sort out and wrap and deliver all this, so it'll end on the 21st instead of the 23rd. I know, that only gives you one more week to toss a little something in the box, but hey. You guys can manage that, right? Oh - and if you don't know anything about toys and games and kids, but you still want to help, it occurred to me that they might need coats and hats and clothes, too. And books and school supplies maybe. God, I keep thinking of things kids might need...

I've already got one guy volunteered to help me with the sorting and wrapping, but looking at what's coming in, I might need more help. And, uh, maybe a truck if anyone's got one. Or a teleporter. If anyone wants to, great. You know how to get a hold of me. *his finger taps the comm screen* I think I'll be at Edgeworth's thing on the 23rd, too.

*and now, he frowns slightly* ...that reminds me. On a more personal note. I'm gonna put this out there once and for all: I don't want anything for Christmas. I don't celebrate it. If you can't wait until May for my birthday, then donate something in my name - I don't care. I just don't want to be asked or reminded about it anymore.

*a deep breath to control his sharp tone*

So yeah. That's it. Thanks for helping out, guys. Some lucky kids are gonna have a pretty decent holiday.

I got a question to ask you. About your power.

Being fired around the holiday season is very disconcerting.

Also, slightly depressing...

I was doing well balancing an outside job and working at the school. I guess I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Is there any sort of comprehensive list of charities who are putting forth special efforts at this time of year? I know about the toy drive, but I'd like to know more.

It's very strange--I've heard quite a few people complain that they dislike the traditions associated with the holiday, but as a... well, an offworlder, it's all very new, and quite fascinating. Are there things in the City, or during the season in general, that a newcomer should make an effort to see or do?

[private to Kyle Rayner]

I saw the mural you did--those birds. It was beautiful work. I'd still like to discuss designs for the school, if you're interested.

Master, so you know, I'm staying at Luke's for a few days. You're welcome to make use of the futon in the studio--and I suggest talking to Fakir; he's been having some difficulties lately.

[private to Sarah Altman]

How are you?

[private to Phoenix Wright]

Mr. Wright? We don't really know each other well, but--I'd like to speak to you.

[Brenda is sitting in front of the camera. She is in a scarf and at least two sweaters and she looks very irritated]

Okay, Northwest winters can feel free to go DIE now. Preferrably in a fire! Because then I would be warm!

I am so over this New York in December business. I just can't get into the Christmas spirit either. It's just not the holidays without veggie burritos full of festive red and green peppers. I want to go to Mexico or something.

...

Jaime, do you wanna take a road trip with me?

[M'stra waves at the camera, holding it above her head, a big creeptastic smile on her face. The room she's in is dim and looks made on concrete. It ECHOS like it too and god but there is noise. There is a constant sound of creaking rope, chair legs scraping the stone floor, panting and whimpering and the occassional EARSPLITTING scream. M'stra talks like she hardly notices it. ]

Hello darlings!

I just had to share with everyone for two reasons. One I hear some people are on the lookie look for me, and two, look what Sil-darling brought me as a thank you gift!

[She turns the camera on a terrified man tied to a chair. He's got a ski mask on, looks the petty criminal sort, but his eyes huge and round behind the mask, and full of tears. Some of Karu-Sil's glowing pack are circling him and M'stra turns the camera back onto herself just as he SCREAMS again.]

Doesn't he have the best voice? It's like Christmas come early!

Anyway, I have a guest to entertain. Ta-ta!

[And the feed goes dark]
