As of last night, one of our members, Brother Cavil, was apprehended and arrested. How this was accomplished is, at present, unknown, but given the policy of the prison, it is safe to say that he will not be taking part in our discussions for the foreseeable future.

[video flicks on to show scathach's bedroom. it isn't a very impressive room, so i'm not going to bother describing it :| but there is a bed in there because she likes to ~*pretend*~ that she uses it. anyway, the camera is facing in front of her so you can't see her face. but she begins speaking as she moves to leave. so i guess you're getting a tour of her home.]

I am not very handy with tools and the like. I did build my dojo in San Francisco, yes, but it took me many years and much help. I suppose I'll never be a carpenter, though it would have been nice.

[into the kitchen! passing by the countertops/table and looking at a door, which she opens to reveal a staircase leading down. she takes it.]

Recently, however, I did discover that using a hammer and nail is not nearly as difficult as it used to be.

[walking through the dojo and she turns to the right and there on the wall is an ancient celtic sword that scott gave her over here. it's mounted in plain sight, resting on a shelf--you don't want to know how long she spent putting that up. there's an inscription written in neat script on the edge of said shelf, and it's in gaelic, so don't worry about what it says unless you can read gaelic. but it says "from a warrior and friend" so if you can read gaelic, more power to you.

her voice, when it comes back in, is genuinely happy.]

I think, though, that my efforts were well-worth it.

So, what's going on with the Joker situation? I was on my beat last night, didn't see anything besides the network post, and by the time I got back to the station, everyone was dealing with the fallout from this Cavil bloke being arrested. 

...Any word on Saitou Hajime? At all?

I'll be by the station in an hour, but I wanted to know what I'd be walking into. As well, a friend of mine is interested in joining up, so I'm bringing her around to meet people. Maza, Cheney, and Prime, if any one of you are going to be about, let me know and I'll introduce you to her.

Well, it took long enough, but the repairs to the house are finished. And I do have to say that I have done a magnificent job of putting this tattered mess of rotten wood and cloth to right.

For what little was available I think I have managed to at least capture the spirit of Silvermoon. A pity that this world is severely lacking in enchanted objects. I would have loved a few self-cleaning brooms. Ah well.

[Kyle is sitting in Lantern Haus, painting. What he's doing right now is a kind of impressionist version of the City skyline, lots of thick paint and stippling. Also, talking.]

I love the video function on these things. Sure, it's a pain when it comes on by accident - seriously, how sensitive are those buttons? - but it means that I can paint and make a post at the same time. And if I want I can have a construct play the audio posts of the day for me from across the room.

Anyway. First, sorry for disappearing off the network like that. I got a huge commission from Warner Brothers to do concept art for their upcoming Thundercats movie, as well as some matte paintings, and heck, even a couple toy designs. [he laughs a little] Basically I've been working my tail off. I'm pretty sure my wrists are going to fall right off but, hey, it pays the bills.

Anyway, part of the reason they're so keen to rush this out is that everyone's terrified that Lion-O or somebody's going to get ported in. So they want to get this movie out, make as much money as they can, and the try to pick something more obscure. That seems to be the name of the game here.

But that got me thinking...

It's strange. We had this one long break from the Porter bringing in anyone at the end of December, then, after the holidays ended, it unleashed a flood of imPorts. It makes you wonder what exactly the Porter is thinking. Did it want to give us a break during Christmas? Was it malfunctioning? Or was this just one of the strange things it likes to do from time to time.

I can tell you one thing, though, this place is going to be crowded soon... something's going to have to give here.

Well, I guess I'll need a job to live properly, right? I'm a student back home, but I'm pretty sure enrolling here would be a pain in the ass. I don't know anything about the systems and my English sucks. When I put it like that, though... I don't know how I'd find a job, either.

My friends, this amusing incident commands my attention. As you are no doubt aware, I have experienced a... significant loss of certain crucial recollections as a result of my encounter with Lieutenant Aldo Raine. I wish to rectify this loss. Through any available means.

So which of you can tell me something about this 'Blue?' Or about any other mentally talented individuals who might be able to affect the memory?

I would be most grateful for any assistance in this matter. It is of the greatest personal importance to me.

[Oh look, it's the news! A generically pretty blonde reporter is standing outside of a bank, which is surrounded by police cars and screaming people. She looks professionally stoic.]

I'm standing outside of Masons' Federal Credit Union, which has just been robbed. Witnesses say that two slender young women, one standing at 5'10" with long red hair and green eyes, and her accomplice had long brown hair, black eyes, and... no lips. There are no official figures yet on how much was stolen, but the people inside say that the shorter brunette accosted the guard with strange yellow figures while her companion ordered the money into bags.

[The feed switches to a pre-taped interview with a scared looking young man.]

It was so weird. She just told us to get down, and I did. I didn't even think or nothing, I just went down. I didn't even feel scared when she... I mean... That guy, she just...

[The feed goes back to the reporter.]

Authorities are urging anybody with information to--

[There's a wild screech, and the reporter is mowed down by one of Karu-Sil's fang beasts. The camera manages to catch her sitting up and sobbing as the monster runs off, and then the feed cuts off.]

[The comm turns on and Link's smiling, beaming face is clearly visible. He's smiling fit to split his face open. His hat is off and his messy blond hair is showing.]

Well, since Miss Lady Liadrin posted to show the rest of the house, I figured I would show off my room too!

[he steps out of the view of the camera and he pans the camera around his room. It looks like a combination of this, this and this, all blues and greens and nautical symbols and glowing bits (Liadrin's touch).

His desk has his sword, shield and hat laying on it and his shelves are covered in colorful glass bottles and books, as well as a model pirate ship in a bottle. His bed? Yep, shaped like a boat. An ornate, wooden pirate ship.

There is a beautiful bay window covered by curtains reminiscent of ocean waves. Above the bay window is a piece of stained glass with the winged triforce symbol embedded on a colorful background.

All in all? It's an ocean and ship loving boy's dream.]

See? I have everything I need! My bed is even shaped like a boat!! How neat is that, I didn't even know they made boats shaped like this! Lady Liadrin did such an amazing job!
