Hey everyone, this is a reminder that the Xavier Institute is hosting the prom on Saturday night!  This formal dance is open to the entire imPort community, though miscreants and troublemakers need not attend.  Security and chaperones will be in attendance, same as last year.  There will be music, dancing, and snacks provided, so get yourself all dolled up and come on down to the Institute!

off-network; a post-it left next to the My Little Hoofbeast: Moirallegiance is Science DVD stack in Equius' MAC apartment circa 4:00 AM, 6/9 )

[There are some general whooshing wind sounds punctuating this feed, but other than that it's pretty quiet, mostly because Aradia is currently fluttering well above the sounds of the City. A girl's voice which some listeners might find familiar is speaking, but there's something distinctly different about her tone! Namely, the fact that she... has one...]

Guys! Well, I guess that's a little nonspecific, but I think that the people I'm speaking to know who they are. I also know how long I've been away, so there's no need to fill me in there. It hasn't been much time at all anyway! But it also feels sort of longer than it was for me, which is only natural when you're skipping across dimensions and timelines. It's okay, though--better than that, actually. I'm back now.

[She laughs, sounding genuinely delighted.]

I'm really back.

Y'know, Saturdays have gotten a lot more boring without certain people around. I mean, a guy can't watch recorded episodes of Oprah forever. ...Actually, I can't even do that anymore, since Oprah's over. I guess there's always Doctor Phil if I want to watch awkward slightly informational talk shows, right?

So, network, give me hideous tv shows that are not Jersey Shore to fill my time with! Robots are wonderful and all, but I have ...way too many of them now, might as well become the six million dollar man, the way I'm going at this rate. Or, if you want, we could just go out and do something. I'm a bored, bored man. Good things do not happen when I am bored.

[The video comes up on a MAC apartment. Except it's all been painted green. Bright green. The furniture is also very, very nice, most of it looks cira the 1920s by way of gangster films. Scratch also has on a different suit, though it's still white, and he still has a green dress shirt on.
Being omniscient really helps with finding the good deals at thrift stores. You know, the ones where stuff that should be worth thousands is marked down to like $10.

Father's day. A rather quaint holiday. Originally it was founded to honor the lives of souls lost in a mining disaster, as well as serving as a compliment to Mother's Day. That was back in 1908, and the whole thing was forgotten until the 70s. A shame, really. I happen to think it of paramount importance to honor one's ancestors, if you have them. After all, they shape who you are, often in terribly subtle ways.

These days though the whole thing is rather commercial, don't you think? Not that I mind. I've been getting marvelous deals on menswear all week. Indeed, I think for the first time in my rather long life I'll have a wardrobe I feel satisfied with.

[He pauses for a moment]

I'll say this, though. Tadpoles are absolutely terrible gifts, even taking into account the charming image of a grubby-fingered child holding them up, seeking approval. Muddy and troublesome creatures. Really, it strikes you straight to the soul.

[Wait, what?]
