Something has been bothering me for a few days.

Why do we let so many of the bad guys just run around doing whatever they want? I mean the Import ones. Ones we know have committed crimes around here like attacking people or causing a lot of damage to the City? Why don't we go after them when they make posts on the Network that show where they are? We're here to be heroes, right? Shouldn't we all try a little harder to catch villains so that they can be arrested and put in jail?

Maybe I'm just thinking too much again.

Shockwave. I haven't heard anything all week. Is he okay? Is it really him?

I'm not gonna bust in and pry. I just need to know.

[A neutral, digitally-created female voice speaks. This message is spoken in English, but there are many like it utilizing various global languages. They can be found anywhere, everywhere: on the internet, on television, on the radio.]

People of the world: now is the time for change. Now is the time for renewal. For too long, we have been at the mercy of random horror and crippling madness. We have weathered destruction and profound loss, we have suffered beyond comprehension, we have endured cruelty so inhumane and so astonishing.

[Images flash over the screen, clips of past media recording. HIVE and Los Angeles in ruins, the Major and his war ships. Zombies. The Joker. Norman’s Avengers and Time Square and a gruesome headshot of Cavil. Vampires. More of the Major. Old footage of post-Godzilla wreckage. Big Ben's noticeable absence in London. The image of an entire New York City block exploding along with mayoral candidate Geraldo Bendis. Gamzee’s face. The Aleutian Islands.]

For too long, we have shuddered in fear and cowered in sorrow. For too long, we have been afraid to grow. But. No. Longer.

[Cut shot to the members of M.A.J.E.S.T.Y. Not pictured: True-Blue and Ultranova.]

We created heroes. We created M.A.J.E.S.T.Y. to protect all peoples, from all walks of life. They are the people’s champions, and they belong to you. Inspired by the ImPorts, we strove to create and design a new breed of possibility. And we succeeded.

We created superheroes. We created the Metamen.

You, too, can be a Metaman. You, too, can change the world.

[Images of the countries Greenland, Dolvania, the US, England and France break off from a holographic world map and piece together, forming a jigsaw visual of a triangle. ]

We are Vulcanus, and we are here awaiting you.

Welcome to the new world order, hero.

ooc || That’s right, folks, the people behind M.A.J.E.S.T.Y. go beyond the US Government – this is an international operation, and they are opening the doors to imports and natives alike. Vulcanus has been an underground, active group for some time, slowly rearing to explode. You may have noticed their trademark around. Expect reactions to this unraveling, both from NPCs and the natives themselves.

[ remember last time fred showed up here and he shoved his face into the camera? he's doing that again. lookit those freckles. then he pulls back and yay, his whole face is now in the frame. and yup, he's covered in dirt and blood and soot again. fresh from the battle of hogwarts, sup everyone. ]

What the bloody hell is going on? I thought I'd just imagined this bit or something like that.

And it's still awful timing.

[ there's a pause. fred spins his wand between his fingers, pulls a face, then shoves it into his pocket. ]

Right then. Anyone figured out how to get back yet?

[The video opens on a girl, high-school age, sitting at a desk. She's looking down into the camera, almost as if to make herself look taller, or perhaps simply because this is the only position she could angle it without the communicator falling over mid-broadcast. She's no one you'd recognize, and neither is the communicator number. (Alas, it is the one that would have been given to that poor Mister Yorks! That abject failure.) The back wall is a bland sort of cream color without decoration; there are no windows, no plants, and no cutesy posters of kittens or heartthrob pop idols hanging behind her. No real markers for what sort of place this is, other than the desk. It's wood. If there's anything on it, it's not in frame.]

Now is the time for chaaange, the time for reneeewal.

[Her voice drags on the words, heavy with sarcasm.]

Please. Do they expect anyone to buy that at full price? You won't. I know you won't. You're the sort of clever people will only imagine. Never attain.

I'm sorry, you were.

[The girl blithely rolls her eyes, her left hand rapping fingernails against the surface of the desk in three short beats. The attitude she projects is a heavy-painted boredom.]

Buuut not all of you are. Clever. Satisfied. There's gotta be some of you with your pathetic joke powers and bullshit self-esteem problems. You want the upgrade. You want to be better. Or maaaybe you want them gone. Wouldn't that would be so cool?

I got two words for this.

[The girl tilts her head a little to the side, expression still as disdainful as the start. She doesn't say anything. Instead: first her left hand comes up, then her right. With each pronounced gesture she proceeds to flip off the camera once, then with both hands. She holds this pose for five seconds before the feed automatically shuts off.]

[ The video opens with Tonks sitting in the living room area of her MAC apartment. It's quite a colorful scene behind her. She has placed her communicator on the arm of her sofa so that she can talk freely. ]

I need a bit of advice. I've come to the decision that it's time for me to move out of the MAC. I don't need much space for myself but I'm really at a bit of a loss of where to start in the City. I won't just be looking for myself. Does anyone have any advice or helpful hints?

[ For a moment, she looks a bit uncomfortable, perhaps even a little bit guilty. That look quickly vanishes, however. ]

Have any of you ever had family come through? Mum, Dad, brother or sister? How did it go?

[ Were you as big of a git as Tonks was? ]

Are you two alright with Luna Lovegood, Hermione Granger and my Mum tagging along on our shopping excursion? How does this Sunday sound?

Would anyone like to join me at the Institute for a game of badminton? I just bought a set and I thought it might be fun to get a few people together to play a game or two. Or I guess we could try using the net for volleyball instead.

I guess what they say is true. You better watch out what you wish for.

I'm not going to ask who thinks what's going on is good or bad or suspicious or worth looking into because I'm getting enough of that crap from work. If I wanted to work weekends, I'd be at the office right now, keeping my nose to the grindstone.

Lord, no one appreciates a weekend more than me right now.

Just so you know, I'm asking you because you frustrate me the least. Do you have any plans? I need to go out.
