[ there's a long silence when the feed begins, and the sound of several false starts. after a few minutes, this is all that's said, dully: ]
Vriska Serket is dead.
[ the sound of a deep, shuddering breath. ]
What the fuck happened yesterday? I mean, I've bore witness to plenty of messed up, living nightmare shit before, it's not like I can't take it, I can totally deal, but that-- [ his voice cracks. ] ... I don't want to see anything like that ever again.
[ another pause. and quietly: ]
She died heroically.
[ and the feed cuts. ]

I want to speak to all to voice my support for what Geddoe said. He's right, we're all in danger and we have to start accepting that and doing something about it and not individually. All to often we've failed to share information and it's cost us. I don't want to see that happen anymore. I don't want us to be driven out of this city and this world by Vulcanus. To do that we will have to come together, however much arguing it will take.
Now I know getting a community like ours with so many to work as a single unit would be foolish, but many of you have people you will follow. What I would like is for those leaders in the community to meet with together with me at Rossum within the next few days to discuss what we as a community might do together about Vulcanus. We can't function as a military, but we can function as a republic, sending those we most trust to lead us to tackle this. Even this will be difficult, I acknowledge that, but if we don't take at least this step then we will be completely unprepared for whatever might be coming.
Besides offering to host this event I will also extend the support of myself and my companies to whatever course of action this meeting determines to be best for the community.
So all are welcome and I look forward to seeing I hope many of you very soon.

[Kang is sitting in his apartment, still undecorated beyond a bookshelf that's only a third full. There's faint background noise, as if music is playing, but it's turned down too low for an average human to hear what genre it is. For those who can, it's Ozzy Osbourne. He's looking annoyed and a bit unsettled.]
From what I've heard, there were four busses. One that exploded, one that sent people to another plane for a time, one that made people hear things for the rest of the day, and one that made several of us switch powers. Those of us pulled on to the last one are still affected, and I don't know how much longer it'll last, or if it's permanent.
[He pauses, and runs a hand through his hair, muttering a curse in a foreign language that makes his accent more obvious than it already is, if that's even possible.]
Either way, I need to know who received mine. Has anyone gained better senses than a human since that day, or the ability to shapeshift into a draconian? There are a couple of important things you need to know about draconian bodies if you intend to use it.
[Clearly, he is not comfortable with that idea.]
And to whomever had control of the air before this switch, I seem to have yours.

[the video clicks on and is immediately accompanied by the lovely melodius stylings of ms new booty. with some rustling, evan's face comes into view, scowling and looking completely fucking exhausted.]
Every five minutes. And I'm not just exaggerating here, I mean like, literally, on the five minute mark. For the last three hours.
[he runs a tired hand through his bangs, looking around the apartment.] It's not just from the communicator, either. This thing, the television, my fucking alarm clock... [ev sighs, but there's an irate, growling kind of undertone to it, and glares at the camera. when his face breaks into a smile, it's tight and strained and obviously fake.]
So, whichever of you technopath jokers thought this was a good idea, here's my official warning: cut it the fuck out. It wasn't funny after like, the third time. And I wanted to get some goddam fucking sleep tonight. You get me? [the song, thus far muffled but everpresent, has finally ended. evan breathes a small sigh of relief and makes to turn the communicator off, but before he does, the opening bars of musical classic face down ass up can be heard starting up.]

[ The video quality isn't great, kind of grainy and full of static. Still, the picture and audio are clear enough to see and hear what's going on, which is good enough. Electro is sitting on the steps of some building, the communicator off to his right. Though the quality isn't great it looks like he's got a bit of a tan. ]
Not to sound like a broken record here, and I'm even going to skip the "I told you so"s. I've wasted my breath enough talking about how we're being stepped on and used and no one's going to do a damn thing about it until we rise up and make our voices heard. We all have power, and even if the City won't pay attention, the world's afraid. As they should be.
[ He sneers and pinches the bridge of his nose. He takes out a cigarette and lights it with a snap, a spark from his fingers -- the feed flickers more just for an instant and then levels again. ]
But I'm not here to make a call to arms. Done that before, saw how well that played out. It's in each of your hands what you do, just know that.
Now I'm going to change the subject, because we all know what's going on here by now. Then again, we all know that New Jersey is a waste of land, too, but I was still stuck there on business for longer than I want to admit. Ugh. If you ever get stuck in New Jersey, stick to Atlantic City. Says a lot that I'd rather be in the city of exploding buses than at the goddamn Jersey Shore.
