[ The video turns on to a pile of plain jeans and t-shirts. There's a brief pause, a sigh, and then it swings to face Cassie, who is dressed for success in a pencil skirt and dressy shirt. ]
It's missing the necessary accessorizing, but someone please tell Cassie that she needs to wear this sort of thing sometime instead of a never-ending stream of those jeans and t-shirts. Seriously.
[Cassie is next to a mirror, staring at her outfit. She dusts a hand across the skirt, pulls at the shirt's collar. She definitely looks slightly uncomfortable in it.
Skirts are not really her thing, but Rachel had really wanted her to try it. So here she was.]
What's wrong with jeans and t-shirts? I like them, they're comfortable. [Pause, and she glances back to Rachel and the comm] I'm not sure I can really hike or do stuff in a skirt like this.
[ Rachel sounds vaguely put-upon. Cassie, why must you always do this. ]
I didn't say all the time. There has to be some point in time in which you're not hiking. [ pause. ] We could do dressy pants instead, if you really don't want the skirt. [ Look she's making allowances. ] Network, back me up here. She looks fantastic in this.
[Darn. Her excuse hadn't worked. But a faint smile inches onto her face anyways. It was their old routine, her and Rachel, from back before all the terribleness of the war had happened.]
I know, but. [Cassie lifts both her shoulders in a shrug, bites her lip, and turns to look at the outfit once more.] I don't know. I mean, I don't hate the outfit, or the skirt, it's nice. And cute [and she nods, as if to double confirm that for Rachel's sake].
But I'm not sure I need it? I think what I have already found works pretty well. I mean, the shirts are--[she looks to them briefly. Yep. They're mostly all the same, but with a variation in color]--they're... nice too. Right?
[ A faint sigh, but Rachel's actually grinning behind that camera even as she rolls her eyes. It is the old routine, and it feels kind of nice. ] I'm just saying, you should have at least one good outfit.
At least one. [ And with that, she shuts off the video. Help her, network, you're her only hope. ]
((OOC: Rachel is red and Cassie is green!))
