Even if it was, I don't think things really work that way, so something's definitely weird here...

[Very weird and she sounds pretty unsettled, uncomfortable. She can feel her three of her Personae at least, who are trying to help her calm down a bit, but she can't feel any connection to the Great Seal which she gave her life to create and... She's wondering if she did something wrong. If she did something she wasn't supposed to, maybe...? She can't really remember remember right now.]

[ Sitting in a darkened room, Edward just seems like a really pale guy. Definitely not a sparkling vampire here, nope, no sir. He is without a shirt and only dark trousers. If one's eyesight is extremely keen, one might notice blood on the back of his neck. The feed is positioned on another surface in the dark, empty room, showing him in his somewhat relaxed pose, leaning back with his arms supporting him up.

There's a reason brooding is his middle name. ]

I've spoken with other vampires here before during my previous stay. I'd appreciate it if you - or any vampires with which I have not conversed with yet - would mind indulging me in a conversation about your origins, lifestyle, and abilities. It seems that every one I meet here is so vastly different that the term 'vampire' seems so ... unnecessary, when not one vampire here is the same as another.

There are some that, like myself, are able to go out in the sunlight without burning to a crisp or catching fire. And there are even some that have fleshy skin and a distinct lack of 'supernatural' abilities. Yet they are still considered vampires. Even the ones that do not feed on the blood of other living animals.

I am merely curious. [ He cocks his head to the side. ] And the conversation need not occur over these devices. [ The feed ends quickly, the last frame only a flash of color. ]

[gemma is outside NOHoPE with a book cradled in one arm. she's walking away from the hospital, heels clicking on the pavement.]

Today is my twentieth birthday. I have been here for over two years, and this is my third birthday in the City.

[she's heading down some street, probably towards her house.]

Even after the--events of Father's Day, I didn't think anything could surprise me. But this morning, when I woke up, I didn't think about how much I wanted to be home today. I didn't think about being with my family or friends in my world.

[she turns down an alley, and stops, placing her fingers against the brick wall to her left.]

I just thought... about how happy I was to be here. And how much of an opportunity this was for me. That was a surprise. [she pauses.] Selfish of me. But it's my birthday. [she grins a bit, and there's suddenly a golden glow at her fingertips. from the base of the wall, a vine of roses spouts, and climbs up the wall, blooming with yellow roses as it goes.]

A girl can be selfish on her birthday, can't she?

[ It's around 8AM when the audio clicks on, catching the half of the tired sigh from Kate and the quiet noise of something sizzling on a stove. ]

Today marks a whole year since I was ported into the City. People tend to say congratulations or happy anniversary when it happens, but I never understood what there is to congratulate.

You'd think you'd have something insightful to say when you hit the one year mark, like some of the others. But it doesn't feel that much different than yesterday or a year ago. Maybe time went by too fast to notice.

[ There's a long pause, as if she might actually say something of worth, but she ends the feed there. ]

[no fumbling with comms here, this guy knows how to use a cell phone with video capabilities. However, it's pretty hard to miss that he's addressing the comm while wearing a seriously dorky-looking tiger-themed helmet with the visor flipped up, and a domino mask.]

Okay, for a minute there I thought the others pulled some kind of prank on me, but I read the pamphlet and it looks pretty legit. Uh, mostly. I mean, it could be worded nicer but I guess they got tired of the new guys asking the same questions or something. But, given that I tried my comm bracelet and the camera in my visor and nobody's answering, I'm gonna just go ahead and say...yeah. Hi. Another dimension or back in time or whatever it is, I guess I'm really here.

Oh! But you're heroes, right? Good! Good thing I'm the one who got, uh, teleported or whatever it is, because that's what I do. I'm an honest-to-goodness Hero, you know. Wild Tiger! [he leans in and squints hopefully, like it'll make him more recognizable] You've heard of me, right? You know, Wild Tiger! Partners with Bun...I mean Barnaby, just came in fourth place last season...? Ah, don't worry about it, I like meeting other NEXT, especially heroes. We can talk shop, you know?

But, uh, one quick question. [sheepish look] I don't suppose anyone has any spare clothes to lend me for the night? I, uh, just have my hero suit right now.
