[ 'Sup, City. It's been a while since Aurican last posted - his arrival, in fact. He never really could find anything to say, so he's been fairly reclusive. Though in dragon standards, he's been positively a socialite, but that's neither here nor there.
So there's a video showing a magnificent valley. Those who live in rural areas of New York might recognize it as part of the Catskills mountains, where Aurican currently resides. The sun is just barely up, giving the forest a certain air of freedom and rejuvenation, the pink dawn signaling the birth of a new day. There is nothing to be seen of Aurican - he's propping up the camera, speaking from behind. His voice is different from his first post, from the aging voice of an old man to a deep seated rumble from the chest of a massive beast. ]
Several months I have been here. No return for me yet, as I thought I might be. It might be some time for me to return home.
I am a creature of constant movement, even though I suspect that to most people, I move very slow. I suspect that is usually the case with all long-lived beings. I fly often, and walk upon the earth as a man. Still, it is not enough for my satisfaction. I suppose you can say that I have been afflicted with a case of boredom.
This land - this "America" - is quite big. Impressive, really. I intend to explore it. However, there is just one problem. Two, actually.
[ The camera shifts, and there you see the large head of a dragon, with golden scales and eyes and long whiskers that might remind a few people of the barbels of a catfish. He's careful not to show his teeth when speaking. It's only good manners, after all. The camera is upside down, however. ]
America is not home, and while I have only been here a few months, I still don't understand a lot of the culture or the landscape. I will require a guide, or several. If my guide (or guides) so chooses, I can spare them the cost of travel by riding upon my back. I fit three individuals back home, but four are my limit.
This comes my second request: I do not know the winds of this place as I do from Krynn. I fear a fall from my potential guides, so I am requiring a kind of harness that can secure them safely. If there's anyone who has that particular skill, I will be most grateful.
Suggestions on places to visit are very welcome, even if you do not wish to join.
I don't know how long the trip is, but I will put out a safe estimation of maybe a week and a half.
[ There's a particular expression, but to those who are familiar with dragons, it is actually a smile.
He turns off the feed.]
[ ooc: Here's the plotting post! There are three spots left on riding Crucible. ]
