[Someone is clearly high in the sky above the City; the main sound is the wind until she speaks. Which is as she likes it, almost reminds her of being in the metal.]

Another exciting human holiday today, hm~? You do have so many. What's the significance of this one, again? Something about the changing of the seasons, perhaps?

[Maybe she'll dress up and scare people tonight. The distraction would be...welcome.]

Tch. I do believe that winter is my least favorite season here. It makes flying so much less pleasant.

[For anyone who has been in Shockwave's house, it's easily recognizable by the living room.

And the large panther that appears to be sprawled across Slipstream's lap. She's got her hands buried in its fur and while that would normally be a pleasant thing, she looks...a little distraught, perhaps.]

[Slipstream looks even less pleased than her last post. She might even be...distraught.

And if anyone recognizes the place, she's in Shockwave's apartment. There are animals. Like a big ol' panther, sitting with its chin on her shoulder and looking curiously at the comm.]

How does one transport a panther and various other creatures? Something tells me there would be objections to simply walking them down the street.

[Slipstream appears displeased. Tired, bitter, unhappy. All of those things. She's only just realized how long it's been since her apartment - already unpleasantly large and lonely - had been invaded by the Fallen.

She's perched on the railing of her balcony.]

Only a few of us left. If that, even. I wonder if that's a good thing, or a bad one?

[Slipstream likes taking video when she's flying around, Network. Hope you can handle the view as she twists through a tight spiral above the City's skyline, then dives straight down on what seems to be a crash course with a low building. She pulls up at the last moment, and lands. Only then is the video turned toward her face.]

Well, well. Two and a half years here, stuck in this organic shell.

[She's still bitter about having been 'human' longer than mech, really.]

I suppose it could be worse. I could be stuck with a handful of Autobots.

Things are going very well, all of a sudden. I'm not sure of the cause, but I'm not arguing. I am making headway. [So much smirking.]

Well, well. Another fall turning into winter on this entirely too human world. I was hoping to have been sent back before another stellar cycle passed, but obviously I'm not so fortunate.

Tell me, my fellow imports. What turns your gears? Makes you...tick?

[She's just grinning wickedly about now.]

You may not be able to tell, but this building was open for business just yesterday with record sales for the season. Today…well it’s a different story.

[The video changes to pictures of burned merchandise, earlier footage of the fires raging and being fought by brave volunteer firefighters. And finally a small jet that might seem familiar to people who have been in the City long enough.]

This is just one of several scenes of carnage throughout the City. The targets were diverse, toyshops, arcades, even an auto-garage. Toyland was specifically hard hit, as not only stores, but their corporate headquarters were attacked.

Witnesses report a small black and gray jet at the scene of each of the buildings. Amateur footage confirmed that this jet was shooting lasers just before the buildings exploded.

Further investigation revealed that several of the buildings also had damage indicating explosions from the inside. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause and the where the jet originated.

A silver lining to this bleak story; though there were several injuries no one was killed.

The reasons behind these attacks are still unknown. Could it be terrorists trying to destroy the holiday spirit? Or the race for sales being taken a step too far?

[ooc: If your character would recognize it, the jet was actually Starscream’s flightsuit which is currently in Slipstream’s possession. Under the effect of Black Mist, Kaiba decided his competitors needed to be destroyed. Slipstream wasn’t under any effect but decided it was an awesome idea. Stores were blown up, and when they go to repair it they're going to find they don't have as much money as they thought. Only NPC stores/headquarters were affected.]

[This is a view looking down on the City from very high up. There's a pair of what looks to be armored (and vaguely frosty) black boots with purple jet trails shooting out the bottoms visible in the very bottom of the picture. It sits there for a few seconds, with the wind obscuring all other sound, then falls.

And falls.

And falls.

The City is much bigger and closer now, and the camera appears to be closing in fast as it slowly turns in a controlled spiral.

The roof of a building is centered in the frame as the camera keeps speeding toward the ground, shortly large enough for anyone who recognizes it to see that it's Kaiba Corp. Mere seconds before what would've been impact, the flier widens the spiral just enough to accomodate the building, then pulls into a horizontal about halfway down. Then back up to the sky, wonderful sky.

Enjoy your firsthand view of what it looks like to fly, Cityzens. Just before the camera turns off, you may hear some delighted, yet slightly insane cackling laughter at the sheer freedom of it.]

[This is Slipstream. This is Slipstream flying around outside Kaibacorp on her lunch break.

Specifically, flying past Kaiba's office windows several times, because she knows he's in there with his brother and that it pisses him off to see other people's abilities. As if he could disbelieve them so much they would be negated.

Whoosh! If she weren't doing this in the most lazy way possible (read: slowly, lol), she'd probably get dizzy from flying around the building like 15 times.

Have fun, boss.]

[This video will make no sense to anyone who has not seen the interior of Kaiba's new office.

Currently, it's a view of the park from his window. After a few minutes of that, the comm-holder moves, sitting in his desk chair. And then spinning lazily in said chair, giving everyone watching a view of the inside of the place. It's very nice.

A hand comes up to turn the comm off, and it tilts, showing a flash of black hair and glowing red eyes before cutting out.]

I've been in a human body longer than I was ever in my own.

I'm..not sure how to feel about that. Sometimes it's hard to remember that this isn't what I'm supposed to be like.

While I do have to point out that these inferior organic bodies possess no internal cooling systems worth speaking of, this bath idea is quite nice~ Though I have heard that oil baths are nice, ought to try one when I get my body back...

Shockwave, it's not a permanent solution of course, but it does help and is relaxing besides. You could even bring a book with you, if you're so inclined. Just be careful not to drop it.

You know, I never understood why Blitzwing always liked this show. It's so...stupid, and yet it's almost impossible to look away. Have you humans discovered some sort of cerebro-shell technology? Mind control? Because that's what this-[Cut, as the blackout hits.]

[Setting: a side street. The camera immediately points to Slipstream, lying unconscious next to one of the infamous black spindles. Terrorsaur speaks, but doesn't show himself.]

I found her like this. Some may think I'm...uninformed, but I know what's happened to her! What possessed her to actually fall for such a ridiculous ploy eludes me, but I also know how to undo it.

[Slowly approaches her as he continues.] A "prince" is supposed to awaken her, correct? One who will one day rise to power...it's only fitting.

[The device begins to descend. Terrorsaur places it on the ground next to Slipstream. Once he gets into position, only their torsos are visible. One can see that his left arm is in a cast and sling. His upper body dips towards hers and stays that way for a moment. Suddenly, Slipstream's knee connects solidly with his groin. He lets out a pained, high-pitched squawk and falls over (away from the device).]

[Slipstream stands, thus moving out of the camera's view.] SLAG-SUCKING SCRAPHEAP! BIT-BRAINED GOOD-FOR-NOTHING, CAN'T TELL YOUR WASTE OUTLET FROM A HOLE IN THE GROUND! I OUGHT TO TAKE YOU APART ONE RUSTY SCREW AT A TIME! THROW YOURSELF IN A SMELTER, YOU MALFUNCTIONING FRAGGER!

[She then flies away. After a moment, Terrorsaur rolls towards the device. At last, the partly healed bruise around his right eye is visible. His voice is considerably higher than normal.] That...that didn't go...

...so well.

Soundwave, I need your assistance with a...problem.

I appear to have developed some form of minor telepathy. I hear other beings' surface thoughts constantly, and haven't done very well in trying to block them out on my own. It's driving me glitchy, to have a constant discord of voices and ideas in the back of my consciousness at all times.

I hope that you have information on telepaths in the City who might be able to assist me. I need to learn how to control it, the sooner the better~

As femmes we're outnumbered here, so I thought that maybe we could take a page from the humans' book and get to know each other better.

There's apparently a custom called a "sleep over" that involves things that females do. Something about servo painting and bad movies.

[Someone is not happy. Her voice will sound familiar to many people, except that it's higher-pitched and she is obviously female. And just this side of hysterics, no matter how much she's trying to stay calm.]

Well. This is certainly unexpected, and about as fun as a crate of space barnacles.

I was fine just minding my own business in Detroit, but this crushing sense of impending doom tells me that getting back isn't going to be easy, if possible at all. This squishy organic body had better be a temporary status.

So. Why am I here, again? Being a hero isn't in my programming. That machine must have a glitchy processor.

[Muttering to herself] If he wasn't permanently offline I'd do it myself. This has got to be his fault somehow, that rusty waste of a protoform.
