[ Electro's sitting in his fully lit -- though the lights flicker now and then, sporadically -- apartment, drinking a beer. His eyes are glowing and looks really annoyed. ]

Hey, a little warning next time, huh? I wanted to relax tonight. How am I supposed to keep my shit cold? [ He shakes his beer can, and the lights flicker again. He snaps his fingers and it steadies. ]

I'd offer to help you guys out, but -- y'know, I don't think I've got enough juice in me to light up the whole City. [ Kanyeshrug. ] ... Though some of you are welcome to come by and share the wealth.

[ One of the bulbs in the back explodes from too much energy and the other ones flicker again, though they stay on. Electro frowns again. ]

Seriously, enough with the crap. Get the power back on. Or is this not a job for Superman?

You don't want looters to start getting shot, do you?

[Aoi is almost visible this time, and there's no delayed icon copy-paste job. Instead, he's just covered in darkness. An observant viewer might notice that he's in a MAC apartment. It's pretty spartan, at least the parts that can be seen in muted glow of the comm.]

I had forgotten that the wireless internet routers in this time period wouldn't be self-contained. In my time, most thing run on self-contained batteries, or are at least capable of supporting themselves for a few minutes. The point here is that the goddamn internet went out, as you all say, and it's quiet. For the first time since I came here and figured out the primitive internet, I haven't been able to hear anything. What's worse is that I figured it out so hot that I figured I was a real hot shot and didn't have to worry about actual wiring so now I'm just stranded. I'm all kinds of put out over it, too. It's too quiet.

[Oddly enough though, his expression is pretty flat.]

I wonder if the same thing will happen again. In the absence of an original, copycats and phonies spring up to fill the void. I sure as hell hope it doesn't.

[Aoi shakes his head once, and then seems to fade out of and back into existence just before the feed cuts.]

Yeah, the electricity shenanigans? Makes moving into my new apartment easy peasy man, let me tell you.

Anyway, whoever needs to find their keys or whatever give me a ring or whatever you "heroes" are supposed to be calling at this crock. I kinda have this... permanent flashlight, I guess.

[ooc: btw I have no idea why I can't put the proper tag in this post? Lj stop being silly.]
